I read your complete story and I also read all the insights everyone has placed. From what I have read I honestly think that you are bathing him too much. Maybe you should bath him everyother day..even if he is a little smelly. But to much water can dry his skin and it seems like that is were the problem starts. I recommed to continue the use of the vaseline and cut down on the washing. Let his natural oils help him heal back too. Good luck to you, and you are a great mommy. I have been in a situation like you and I am glad that you never gave up on him. Sincerely B and Swat | |

| Hi there everyone, Just wanted to update everyone on Babybears dry skin. It is doing much better. I skipped giving him a bath for a couple of days and put vasiline on him and he only has a very small patch of dry skin now. His skin feels better also. I thank all of you again. Have to run my little guy is keeping me on my toes. Val |

| OMG what a wonderful mommy you are I am sure this is taken alot out of you.I feel for you and your family. I would use cornstarch on my daughter when she had a bad rash. I don't know if that will help. but it's worth a try. I know YT will be a help to you it has for me. Wellcome to you and Baby Bear. |

| Have you tried this? Aveeno makes an oatmeal bath that contains NO soaps, dyes, perfumes, etc. I've used it on Ginger's dry skin. You just mix it with warm water and pour it over your baby. It really does clean them, but is extremely gentle and skin softening. here's a link so that you know what I'm talking about. http://www.aveeno.com/detailAction.do?id=3689 Good luck, and please keep us posted. Your babies very lucky to have you.

| have you tried those baby was clothe like things? they come in a box and have the soap in them you just wet them a little bit and you could use a small spray bottle to wet him down while lying on a bath towel? either way this little dog is VERY lucky to have someone as loving and dedicated as you, it also helps restore faith in people to see someone willing to go the extra mile! |
