Thank you - I should be glad that this happened when she is feeling well, and that I noticed it rather quickly so that she isn't in any pain - better sooner than later I suppose. Thank you for keeping Tink in your thoughts and prayers.

One of my Rainbow Bridge babies, Ashley, needed to have a back tooth pulled when she was sixteen. We knew it was risky, but we couldn't bear to think of Ashley in pain. We thought the tooth issue was causing her anxiety, but our vet didn't agree. We have such deep respect for him, and it was the only time we didn't agree. He felt she would survive the surgery, but even with a risk, we knew it was something we needed to do for Ashley. Her anxiety level decreased after the surgery, and she did great.

You and your little girl are always in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm glad that it helped your little girl. Thank you for keeping Tink in your thoughts and prayers

Tink is doing well - she has an appointment tomorrow morning, and I hope and pray all will go well. I do not think there will be any issue since both of her doctors are not concerned. I just hope she doesn't feel icky afterwards, since she needs to eat every 4 hours. But at least she will be at her vet and being monitored all day tomorrow afterwards. I have to prepare Tink's "lunch" tomorrow - a "Tink Buffet" of low fat cottage cheese, cooked chicken, wet food. Hopefully she will find something from that assortment to get her excited about eating.
She ate well this morning and was having a barking war with the neighbor dogs this morning - so at least she is happy and feeling good. I will update after her appointment tomorrow - thank you so so much for your concern about Miss Tink.

Apologies for the late update. And thank you so much for your concern. Miss Tink is doing quite well, I’ve been trying to get her to rest and take it easy, but she’s been up and about all evening. She only had to have the one tooth removed, and the rest of her teeth all cleaned (might as well!). They said the tooth was very easy to remove, and she should not be in pain. She wouldn’t eat much for them at the vet and her blood sugar was at 41 when I picked her up (I’m glad I asked them to check it before I left). 40s is low, but she was not on her regular 4 hour feeding schedule, so they gave her some glucose before we left. When we got home, she had no problem eating which I’m so thankful for; I was worried she wouldn’t have an appetite. She seems a bit lethargic, but I am sure this is from the anesthesia. I’m thankful that all went well for her today, and hope all stays good for awhile – she’s been through a lot this past week. But at least it all has not been too serious and was fixable. She is now resting comfortably with a fully belly Thank you for thinking of Tink today

Miss Tink is doing good - carrying around her socks so I don't think her tooth hurts her - yay!

I attached a pic of her at the vet, and wanted to share something that made me smile yesterday. When we got to the vet yesterday, ( she acts like she owns the place when she's there and is a favorite there ) she took it upon herself to push open the door to the back with her little nose ( she does this at home) just to peek in - just stuck her little head back there just to say, "hey, I'm here!" I see just her little head poking in - and the techs/Drs in the back, "Hi Tink!"... And she looked back at me like, "yeah, the love me here..."

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!

Tink is a beautiful girl!!! I am beyond thrilled to hear she is doing so well. The two of you were meant to be together, the mutual love shows.
The fact that those at the vet clinic love her just as much and that she feels loved there certainly makes it easier to have to leave her there when needed.
What a little trooper she has been through all this, eat, sleep and play little girl, you deserve it and mom needs you to be well. Doing my own version of the happy dance for you both!!!

Tink update:
Miss Tink is doing good... we've had a bout of vomiting a few times. When I got home for lunch today, she had vomited, and I'm not sure when. I thought she was being overly picky when eating this morning... so maybe her belly just wasn't feeling well, then I made her eat
She has started to really only want to eat chicken, so I'm struggling with getting her to eat her food (kibble or wet) - she will eventually come around after some time - but today at lunch she was refusing anything besides chicken pretty hard, and I tried for about 45 minutes...
I called her specialist today for an update. They are fine with her sugar levels, and for the vomiting they said to give her 5 mg of Pepcid everyday to help. I hope this helps any tummy issues she's been having... I get very nervous when she throws up. But at lunch she was eating chicken, so that's good at least. I really really really hope when I get home she hasn't vomited anymore, and if she has, I'm going to take her to her vet. I hate that I can't stay home with her...
I wish she could just feel well, and I wish she never had to deal with all of this... I feel terrible having to give her this medicine that probably doesn't make her feel good.
Hopefully after she starts getting Pepcid she won't have any vomiting issues anymore.
Please keep Tink in your prayers

When I got home from work I found she vomited 3 more times. I am at the vet with her and they are treating her... Poor little girl. I just wish we could figure out why this happens... It was not even 3 weeks since it happened before.
I feel so bad for her
I just want everything to be the way it was before she got sick.

We are back and Tink is resting. Same as before - Some fluids, anti nausea meds and antibiotics. Going to try and feed a bite in a few hours to see if she can hold it down.
It just seems like there should be more of a cure for her vomiting. This has happened 3 times since she was diagnosed in November.... Should I look into it, or be happy it gets treated with meds? The recurring vomiting seems like there should be a cause? Same food, so I don't understand why it happens.
Should I try a different local vet for another opinion?
I just want to keep her comfortable... And I feel like I'm not doing enough for her. If I could have one wish it would be for her to be 100% healthy again...
Thank you for your prayers

I wish the same for her and for you. So stressful.

Did you ask your vet for thoughts on this? Maybe your vet could discuss her case with a specialist he/she knows? Perhaps putting her on Cerenia would prevent this...I don't know but certainly worth asking about.
But...again, maybe the Pepcid will help. Could just be that once she starts, it gets out of control....I know Pepcid helps my Teddy Bear.
