| Glad to hear she ate well last night but 20mg for a small dogs seems like so much. I'm no vet but my 60 lb. dog is getting 20mgs. every 24 hrs. Seems like yours should be getting 2.0. Anyhow hope she continues to improve!!!

| YT Addict | Tink is doing much better. ![]() ![]() We saw the oncologist yesterday, and have decided to try the oral chemo drug Palladia. I hope and pray it will do wonders for her (with no icky side effects). In the meantime, she is acting like her old self - even after being in the car for 5 hours yesterday. She's eating well - which is a huge relief to me. I'm just second guessing myself... should we do surgery? It's just so hard, because when I read online, there are quite some complications that can be associated, and results are not always guaranteed. Do I want to stress her little body out, without being sure they could remove/find something? I prayed that if I needed to do surgery, it would have been visible in the ultrasound... I think that if the chemo drug is unsuccessful (we will check in 10-14 days), I will consider surgery much more... but my mom and step mom have advised against it. Their thoughts are that if they could guarantee good results, they would - but it just seems so uncertain, and it WILL come back, it's a matter of time... Then, I just think that Tink would much rather spend all of her time being comfortable and happy. Recovery would likely take weeks, which is a long time to me. And, she is quite sensitive. I would hate to put her through surgery when she feels well... In the meantime, I am going to spend every minute I can with her - thank you all so so much for your thoughts and prayers! Much love, Tink |

| YT Addict | Thank you all so much - I'm so touched and inspired of your concern. We started her chemo tablet last night. I do not see any side effects, and I pray it stays that way. She's been up and about, eating good and happy. we decided to stay home today, and have our own "puppy thanksgiving" - I'm glad we did. I've pretty much committed myself to being home with her as much as possible, and I am perfectly happy with that. We do the chemo pill (Palladia) every other day, so tomorrow we will do another dose. I pray it is the answer to our prayers. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Much love, Tink |

| YT Addict | Thank you all for your prayers. Tink is doing great - she's happy, eating, and has energy. I have to call the specialist today to see how we are going to test how she is doing on the Palladia. We took her sugar yesterday and it was 120! This is good - with the Prednisone alone her sugar was around 75-80. I really hope the medication can help her... she doesn't act or appear sick at all - she acts like her happy self. ![]() Thank you all for keeping Tink in your thoughts and prayers, I pray we will find a cure, I'm very hopeful with the medication she is on can help her continue to live a happy, healthy life. Much love, Tink |

| YT Addict | Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Tink is doing great! ![]() ![]() We have an appointment with my local vet on Thursday to see how she is on the new medication. I called the specialist yesterday, and they said that since her sugar was at 120, to now only do 5 mg Prednisone once a day. So, on Thursday we will see how that affects her sugar levels. She is acting great, like nothing is wrong. She LOVES socks, she has ever since she was a puppy. It's funny, because it's so random, I have bought so many toys only for her to be more interested in a random sock. But she has been doing her "sock thing" by finding any sock she can, and prancing around with it. To me, this means she is happy and comfortable - and I am so happy. I have been praying non-stop, and spending every minute I can with her. Thank you for keeping Tink in your thoughts and prayers! |
