| I texted my Husband and placed a call to the vet to cancel this shot.

| Thank God her mom called to ask. I shudder to think what might have happened....very worrisome to me.

| It is so sad that we have to question everything for our pups....but, just like human doctors, some vets are better than others. Bottom line is that we must always take an active role in our own and our pups' medical care.

| I think I don't like that vet.... Glad that Bobbi reached out to GCVS about this issue.

| Linda, You are not going to like this response from Dr. Ramsey. Trifexis and ProHeart 6 have not been linked to cause liver toxicity or failure and are both safe to give in liver compromised patients. Trifexis is a great all in one product, but it does not provide any tick prevention. If you use trifexis, you will still need something with a tick preventative such as frontline. Let me know if you have any other questions and I hope Piper continues to do well. Thanks, Grant Ramsey, DVM

| OMG! After all this pup has been through! GREAT call ladies My vet does not like trifexis -- it is. Huge clinic with many vets and they say they see too many problems with it. They also say they would never ever give it to a small dog This is just getting too scary - like Linda said we just have to stay on top of everything that concerns our Yorkies.

| I would just go with a product tried and tested. I have never had a problem witht heartgard and my MVD dog takes that. We use frontline for fleas and ticks and have never had a problem living in a high Lyme area. It doesn't work in some states as I've read here on YT, but it's been around a long time.

I would not give it to mine. AND, I would probably write back and give him some information that is posted on the websites of the companies; and ask him why he thinks it is safe and they don't.

| Don't worry Linda. She nor Piccolo or any of my future babies will ever get this poison.
