YT 2000 Club Member | dog You have to do your research. Any med that makes my Yorkies vomit, I will not give. I refused to give Trifexis and they push that at my vet. Why take a chance? Little dogs cannot take much of this poison. Last year I used Revolution and did not have a problem. Yes I have to take them for a heartworm test first, but then the vet sent in a prescription to petmeds.com and I got the Revolution. Please do your research. Same with food. Be careful what you feed. I give mine Wellness after much research and recommendations. Our dogs are family, treat them like you would your children. Only the best food and meds for our fur friends. |

| Wow, I would for sure stick with the tried and true formulas for dogs under 5 pounds especially. There's always too many unanswered questions with anything new. I'd rather not be the one to "try" something on my dog. Good catch ladies...let's be proactive with all our babies especially little Miss Piper who's been through way too much.

| I agree with you, Sandy Simpson, about Wellness. I, too, do alot of research before I give anything to my Peanut. However, the best food doesnt work if they won't eat it. She would not touch Wellness. You would not believe how many bags of food have gone to the animal shelter because she would not eat it. After many frustrating weeks I finally found one she would eat, Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier kibbles. I also supplement with ID intestinal health canned as she had a bout of pancreatitis back in January. She has been healthy since. I checked with the Vet to make sure the dry food was ok. I dont know what chew bones are ok, nothing seems to be. I do give her Get Naked Intestinal health dental chews once in a while, but shes not too crazy about them anymore and would like to find a safe chew bone for her, but so far, no luck. |
