Such an answer to prayer. It seems another miracle has happened on YT but we'll know more tomorrow but it's sounding as if she's beat this thing. Piper is a little trooper! Such a tiny little fighter - but, of course, she was taken to an excellent vet clinic before she was too far gone to save and they apparently worked wonders with her. That she's gotten this far is amazing and from the look of things, she's likely going to make it if she can hold steady another day or so, be kept from repeating whatever might have caused this to start with and nursed along carefully while her liver is so damaged. I'm thrilled to death for Piper, Bobbie and Tony and that terrific vet staff and clinic.

So happy to hear Piper is doing ok, and hope it holds without any setbacks from now on. Praying for a complete recovery.

The combination of excellent vet care, dedicated parents, and lots of Yorkie Talk prayers seems to have pulled this amazing little fighter through.:thumbup:

Thanks for the update Linda. I've been at work all day but Piper's been on my mind constantly. It's so amazing to see that Piper's alert, eating well and continues to improve with each passing hour. Praying this little girl will be home tomorrow.

Piper is coming home TODAY
 

Our Piper is one heck of a fighter. She held steady yesterday. Liver test came back normal. Her blood sugar is holding at 89 to 90. This is still on the low end. But, the Dr. feels comfortable letting her out of the hospital.

My Piper Girl will actually be going home with a wonderful lady who will take care of her during the week for us. My husband and I both work full time jobs and would not be able to give her the meds and food every 2 hours that will be needed for her to get stronger. She will be with this friend until Thursday when I get off work. She will come home for the weekends where we can take care of her. We will be doing this until she can hold her blood sugar levels long enough for a longer period of time. I don't work far away, so I would be able to take my lunch break and come home to take care of her. Then straight home after work.

Piper is going to be in such wonderful hands. We were lucky to have 2 wonderful people volunteer to do this with us. I am not going to state the names of these 2 wonderful people until they say I can.

Me and Piccolo will be leaving shortly to go pick up our beautiful Piper Girl.

Gonna be bittersweet. Knowing she is getting out, but not coming home just yet.

I want to thank all of you for your continued prayers and support for all of us.
Your kind words have meant so much to us.
I received private messages from several of you,telling me your stories of your babies survivals. This gave me more hope than I thought I would have. This kept us going. I will update again once we get her out of the hospital today.

Hooray for Piper! What a little fighter she is! I can't believe how far she has come in the last 7 days. I am so, so happy that you never gave up on this precious little girl! And I am so happy that she will be with The Yorkie Whisperer, Linda, during the day! I love happy endings!

Yayyyyy! This played out a lot like Mini's battle when she ingested the grapes. So scary even reflecting now...I knew what the toxin was, fortunately...but even armed with that knowledge the Drs were still at a disadvantage because you never really know how the organs are going to

Linda it is so kind of you to help! Yorkie Whisperer! Lol that's what I call Megansmomma 2 yrs ago when Mini was so sick Jodi use to FaceTime with Mini all the time! It was hysterical but it always cheered Mini up! There are so many Yorkie devotees here, I'm so proud of all our Yorkie Whisperers on YT it so amazing and another success story!!! Yayyyy Piper!!!!

This news makes me so happy! Piper will be in great hands with such a devoted mom and dad and with Linda's help. Acts of kindness like this is one of the many reasons why I love YT.

Cody and I are doing the happy dance for lil fighter girl Piper, what a feisty lil baby. She is one amazing lil girl, and the awesome vets that wouldn't give up on her, GOD bless them. Piper will remain in my prayers. My day is made now. Piper on the road to recovery.

What wonderful news and what a big day for little Piper. Sounds like she's won her life back. She's probably going to enjoy getting into a home setting where her life will be more like normal and she can relax, particularly as she will be with Linda most of the time. Linda is a lady well-versed on dealing with stressed, sick, injured and recuperating babies and knows what to do. It sounds as if things are going as well as they possibly can for Piper and you given all that's happened and the kind of care she will need once she's out of the hospital. I'm so happy for you that prayers were and are being answered and your baby girl is alive and getting better. Everybody on YT was pulling for Piper.
