LOL - how sweet a statement about a great-sounding guy who's no doubt been through hell this week. But I thought DH meant Dear Husband and don't see a problem with your using those shortcut initials.

I never saw anything wrong with it either, although I had to look it up when I first saw someone use it.

Oh what wonderful news! Continuing the prayers for Piper and her family. Any DH that cares so much about a precious Yorkie baby is one Dear Husband... no doubt about it!

Friday Night Update
 
Just got the call. Piper's blood sugar is holding. Her Liver counts are good. She is eating very well, and alert. If it all stays good until noon tomorrow. She may be home tomorrow night. We still have a long road ahead. Lots of every 2 hour feedings, (thank God for a wonderful supportive friend) we will be able to take care of her. Bobbie, I am overjoyed to read the good news. Praying Piper will be able to come home tomorrow night and continue to recuperate surrounded by family.

YEAH !!!! Doing the HAPPY DANCE here. I am so glad that Piper is improving. Prayers still continue.

Seems like things are looking up. Please God let it stay this way. Strong constitution in that dog to have made it this far from the sound of it.

what wonderful news, such a lil feisty fighter lil Piper is. I can just see lil Piper running to her brother, so happy to see him, what a wonderful day for lil girl Piper & her loving mommy & dad. Piper still in my prayers and will remain there. Praying she goes home tomorrow.

This is such wonderful news!!!! I was praying soooooooo hard that the vets would continue with supportive/symptomatic treatment, until the toxins could be processed out of her body.....I was praying that would be the resolution we were praying for....I am so thankful for the vets, for Linda, for you and your DH and your diligent devotion to see this baby through until the very end, however it may end! And of course, all the Glory goes to God....bless this baby girl and keep her strong and help her fight for a full recovery!

This great news made my day :D:D I thought of Piper all day while I was away, and was almost afraid to read the update, but had to know. What a relief. I am so happy, and will continue to pray for that darling girl.

I'm so relieved that Piiper is responding. Seeing her bark at the boxer mus have been such priceless moment that would have brought mr to tears.. Piper is adorable and such a cutie. We are pulling for you and your family.

Morning update...
 
I know Bobbie is busy this morning; so I will give a brief update. She will be visiting with Piper later this afternoon and will probably give a more detailed update then.

Piper is doing well this morning. Her glucose held steady all night and she is off of all IVs and tube feedings! :) She is alert and eating well! The specialist wanted to keep her one more day just to be sure she remains stable; and, barring any unforeseen complications, she will be discharged tomorrow!!

I am so happy to hear of such unwavering vet care that has made Piper well! She is a real trooper and praying she continues to have complete recovery. Can't wait to hear when she will be home! :love:
