| This situation makes me angry on several levels. I pray that her broken pelvis can be repaired. Whatever happened to the little one that was hit in LA? The last post about her that I saw was she was going into surgery the next day. And what about the sweet baby that was so broken?

Kandi is with me...she is the one with the multiple fractures of her pelvis and leg. She is doing very well. Now this one....just crazy. I just don't know how people can hit a dog and keep on driving. She was found laying at the side of the road. Her surgery is this afternoon. She has an awesome surgeon and I am sure she will be fine. She will be on crate rest for some time.

| Thank you for the updates on Lexi and Kandi. It just hurts my heart to think that a dog is hit and is laying on the side of the road in pain. OMG!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Praying for her recovery and bless her heart - there ARE too many of these stories these days - it's gotten worse. It's really hard to read what people do to animals of all kinds - I just get so sad I wish I could help but am in no position at this time to do so - if my business picks up- I may be able to then - ALL THE BEST WITH HER! |

| Mine too...this one was, as I said, a real stretch for me but the story got to me. The poor baby She is in surgery right now. I will be glad when all of her suffering is over.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Oh No, this just breaks my heart. I really don't understand animal neglect & cruelty - my dghtr-n-law was a ACO & is now a police woman & raised funds for them to have a scanner at the police station since a lot of these animals are found or hurt after vet offices are closed. They foster a lot of animals until new homes are found - I love her & my son's compassion for the little voiceless animals. xoxoxo to you for all you do, I am in awe of your love & what you do for the Yorkies!!

| 6 PM UPDATE: Lovey is out of surgery. She is stable and in recovery. They repaired the SI luxation with two screws and a plate and screws in another part of the pelvis (I forget exactly where). Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

YT Addict | What is wrong with people? If they aren't hurting and killing each other they hurt and kill defenseless animals. Just heard on the news about a lady that is using the media to find out who shot and killed her dog. Hope all goes well with Lovely. Have you learned the name of vet that wanted money up first?

| MORNING UPDATE: Lovey is doing well. She is able to stand. Ate a bit last night and again this morning. Still on IVs .. they are adding oral pain meds so that when they discontinue the IVs her pain will be well controlled.
