Elliott came through surgery fine he is in recovery now...Dr. expects no problems at this point. He will spend the night at the hospital so they can monitor. They removed a large amount of material and the Dr. expects him to fully recover. They will update me in the morning as to whether he can come home tomorrow or not. Thank you all again for your continued support. I will update in the morning. I am just so thankful that I found this site and all of the help and comfort you all have shared with me

Friday update...Elliott did very well last night. He was up moving around this morning. Dr. expects a full recovery and we will be bringing him home this afternoon. We will continue to follow the Liver Diet until he is strong enough to have the biopsy. Thank you again for all of your thoughts and prayers. We will update and let you all know how his recovery progresses.

So happy you got the med care you needed, and the surgery.

Elliott is home...he is happy and we are relieved...he has to have little to no activity for the next 8 weeks so lots of lap time is in order!! He will go back in 10 to 14 days to have the stitches removed then back in 6 to 8 weeks for checkup and revisiting the liver issues. Since surgery no pain episodes, seizure like activity etc...all of those symptoms were symptoms of the severe pain he was in from the pressure of the herinated disc...I can't imagine how bad his little body hurt..I am so glad his doctors relieved him of that and he is now on the mend. I am feeling blessed tonight...thank you all again for your continued prayers, healing thoughts and kind words. We will continue to update you on Our Elliott's progress.

I am thanking the lord for sweet elliot feeling better- get him some safe chew toys- my boys like the bumpy kong ball from walmart- elliot will be a happy dog now - great job caring for your companion and friend- no amount of money can buy the love of a yorkie-
