Today was Elliott's surgery day. The doctor just called and our little man is in recovery and doing well. The CT Scan showed no visible shunt, which they were hoping to find one as I understand because they could have surgically corrected that. Now it looks like we are dealing with a MVD diagnosis. I am hoping that we can keep Elliott with us for many years to come and treat this with diet and meds. They are showing a lot of concern because of the rate at which his test levels increased in just a couple of weeks and he was being treated with diet and meds. I am trying to learn as much as I can about all of this while trying to weed out all of the misinformation out there on the internet. We could continue to use all of your thoughts and prayers and can't tell you how much your words of encouragement and knowledge help us. We will update as we have more news.

Thanks for the update! Pups with MVD usually do very well. Hoping that will be the case with Elliott .. he and you deserve a break!!

Ahhhhh, Elliott is going to be just fine, he has a following here...we all are here to love and support him, with many, many thoughts and prayers!!! Wishing him well...and a very long and happy life with you.

Elliott had to stay another night at hospital...hard night for mom and dad and I am sure for our little man...though I hear from the nurses he has quite a following in the clinic all the girls take turns making sure he is held and cuddled

they were concerned because he wouldn't eat...when I packed his bye-bye bag I put his food and his paper plate in there and told them he would only eat his canned food off of that plate...not sure why but that is the only way we got him to eat the canned food. They were trying to feed him out of a bowl...so that's why he wasn't eating...once I told them to use the paper plate he ate fine...I am hoping he is strong enough to come home in the morning..I will update then..I can feel all of your well wishes and we feel blessed to have so much support

I'm happy to hear he got through the surgery okay. Continuing to keep Elliott and you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. He will be home in your arms any day now.

We are praying for Elliott with all of our hearts. Even though I haven't posted be assured that we were all praying for him. We will continue praying until Elliott is 100% again All our love goes out to you and Elliott. I just want to mention that while I was reading this tears were rolling both worried tears and happy tears.
