Oh, it was a UTI infection you were talking about. I'd thought maybe you'd thought it was a tummy infection or something and that sounded bad bad. Not that a UTI isn't but they seem easier to treat than stomach infections. My doc said those can be tough to treat in humans, at least. Anyway, that was a precious picture of a little girl that didn't look as if she were feeling her best but still so precious. She looks so sweet but pitiful in that picture! I wanted to reach in there and just hug her up - poor little one. I'm so glad you have her on treatment and she's in a good mommie's arms who has a direct route to the vet! I am praying for your beautiful little Libby! May God bless this precious girl and heal her quickly.

I have been feeding our Boxer pup pumpkin - she has a sensitive stomach, just like our beloved Boo (RIP). She loves her pumpkin and it has worked wonders for her digestive system.

Thanks for keeping me updated on Libby and glad it was nothing to serious.
You mentioned about her not chewing her food, her mom does the same thing.
Also glad to hear your BIL is doing better...

Libby isn't feeling up to snuff yet and I guess I will worry until she feels better. She's still very bloated and Patti suggested I measure her each day and see if it goes down. I will just feel so much better when she's feeling better. She has been mostly staying on my bed today. I sew in the basement and normally all the dogs come down when I'm sewing, but Libby just stayed upstairs. Thanks again everyone for your prayers! Libby sends kisses!

I looked up the AB she is on: it said if she's not improving after 5 days to change ABs. Did your vet tell you what to expect... you can always call him back to discuss her progress and any concerns you may have.

Poor baby. I hope Libby starts feeling better soon. The antibiotic may be making her more tired than usual.

Libby has not gotten any better. I have been so worried sick all week. On Thursday I called my vet on his cell, but he didn't answer so I left a message asking him to call. He didn't call me and I was so disappointed about that. Friday morn I had to work a couple hours and when I got home, Libby had had diarrhea in the kennel. It was all over her back end and I felt so bad for her. Cleaned her up and called the vet I had taken her too. She prescribed metradonazole for that, which she is no longer having diarrhea. Last night I hardly slept I was so worried about her...still so bloated and uncomfortable. Tonight, Libby and I were snoozing on the couch and the phone rang. It was my vet and he was out of town...had forgotten his cell phone at home, so had called to get his messages and heard mine. I am so relieved that he called me and he is always so caring. He thinks maybe an ultrasound is in order and he will be into the clinic on Monday morn, so if she is still having symptoms, I can bring her up. She has been doing so much air licking again today and spending so much time cleaning herself. I think the stickiness has gone away, but she is still having so many problems. I just want my wild and crazy Libby back. She is still eating, so that is a good sign, but she is just not feeling worth a darn. If only they could talk. My vet was thinking possible kidney infection, and he also said stones don't always show up on x-rays, but an ultrasound would. I also told him the vet had said she seemed to have a thickening of the intestinal wall and he said that would be hard to see on an x-ray...so now I am wondering what she did see. Anyway, I just feel better having talked to him and he gave me his wife's cell phone number if I need to talk to him before Monday.
