I hope your baby feels better and there is a simple solution. I'll keep you and Libby in my thoughts and prayers. It's so hard to see them sick and not be able to tell you what's wrong. Hope your BIL feels better also.

Oh Connie...I hope everything is ok with Libby. I one when things are wrong with m babies I tend to research online and the things I find tend to make me worry more! Prayers for you and Libby that its an easy fix and prayers that your BIL is doing better!!

I doubt any of us could really tell you more than you have already researched on line. In my dog owners handbook the lists of things it could be are: bloat, trauma to the abdomen with internal injury, rupture of the bladder, poisoning, rupture of the pregnant uterus, peritonitis, acute pancreatitis, intestinal obstruction. I sure hope the Vet. doesn't find anything really too serious and she can have a speedy recovery.

Thanks to all for your concern and prayers for Libby and my dear BIL. I tried to get Libby into the vet today but she told me they were so over booked and a work-in appointment, I might sit there for hours before being seen. Since this early one was available in the morning, I figured I would just do that and they won't be so rushed and behind at that time of the day. If Libby was lethargic and not eating, etc, I would have gone today and waited, and of course, if she should get worse tonight, the doctor on call would meet me there. We have no ER Clinic here. Thanks again...I can always count on you for support! My sister and BIL went to AZ on vacation and he is in the hospital there now. MRI shows he's had 3 TIA's and a stroke. So scary and I hate having them so far away at a time like this, but it's probably a better hospital than what we have here. I'll let you know how our vet visit goes. Thanks again.

Anxiously awaiting an update. Rapid weight gain, bloated and drinking lots water could be fluid in the abdomen. Those were some of Columbo's symptom's when he had a pleural effusion. He would groan when picked up. His came on suddenly. I'm praying what ever it is, it is not serious and can be treated... Praying for you.
