It sounds as if you got a pretty good report but you said "the infection" in regard to her tummy. I missed that post about an infection I guess. What infection in her tummy does she have? Is the stomach lining infected or an ulcer infected? I'm still praying and hoping this treatment will clear her right up.

Hoping that now that they have some findings on your BIL, his neurologist and cardiologist can f/u and get him on a regimen to prevent whatever happened to him this time from happening again. Sometimes it just takes starting on a medication and other times it is changing some more things in life. I sure hope they can get him squared away and no more scares. Hoping that birthday celebration is extra special when it happens!

Connie so glad you were able to find out Libby's problem and even though it was expensive at least it's curable. Money never holds us back from doing all we can to make our baby's feel better. Glad it turned out so well.

Just seeing this, so glad that Libby & your BIL is ok!
Momo was just cleared of struvite crystals (it took about 2 months) & Princess needs to go in for her recheck. The key to dissolving & preventing struvites is to 'liquefy the diet' (according to Cathy's (701barney) vet. Our vet also advised to add moisture to their food, so I'm giving them weruva canned food mixed w/honest kitchen which is rehydrated w/water for breakfast & kibble soaked & softened in hot water for dinner when it's cooled down.
Hope Libby does well on the antibiotics!

Taffy (pom) just finished a round of the same antibiotic for some of the same symptoms. She seems to be doing better and I will be taking her in for several tests soon. Hope that your baby feels better quickly.

I just saw your thread tonight. I'm so glad Libby is doing well. I'm so sorry to hear about your BIL. I pray he continues to get better and this doesn't happen again.

Thanks everyone and Libby sends kisses. I don't know...I sure hope they got this right and didn't overlook something. I guess when her tummy starts to go down, I will feel more confident. I guess we all worry about these little ones. Thanks to everyone for all the info you have shared. I did get the canned c/d food so there is moisture in it, but I am also going to soak her kibble. Thanks, Jenny. Libby has always drank lots of water, so I think that should help too. She's not feeling too great yet. She spends a lot of time on my bed on top of the pillows, so I put some blankets there to keep her warm and took a picture. She looks quite scraggly, but been through a lot today. My BIL got out of the hospital and they are trying to get home tomorrow. I will be so happy to see them. Oh...Jeannie...the infection I mentioned was the UTI. I just wonder if she has had that for quite a while before she started showing symptoms. Here's her picture...Libby says thank you!

Poor little pumpkin. You can see in her eyes she doesn't feel well...but still even under the weather she is a beautiful yorkie!! Prayers continue for little Libby and your BIL...hopefully the doctors "fix" both of them!!!
