| Thanks everybody for your kind words!! The Hives look better this morning but I can tell he still isn't feeling well. He didn't even budge when I got up and he is normally waking me up!! He did finally get up once I went into the other room and he did hang with me while I got ready for work... then he played with a toilet paper roll for a little bit then he came and wanted me to blow dry his hair after I did mine, like he does every morning, so I can tell he is starting to feel a teeny bit better. Here are some pics. 1) Him yesterday out and about with me.... 2) Him after we got home and the Benadryl was wearing off.... 3) Him, this a.m. in bed. I sat up and grabbed my phone for a photo... I am calling his regular vet, now to update them on the events Sat. night. Also to let them know I never want him getting that shot ever again... |

| Here is a photo of his hives... and they were actually looking much better, here!! Not sure if you can see, but his privates, or, down where he used to have privates are all swollen... and at one point it actually looked like he once again had those privates, which was odd!!!! =( |

| wow.. it is a good thing you were so observant! I am glad he is feeling a bit better. I also have such mixed feelings about shots.. I have done bloodwork on my lasha for the last 5 years and he has only had rabies. Remy had her shots the first two years, but last visit I just did the rabies. That is all that is required by law here. I think some place that board dogs require more. I have my Bailey.. who was rehomed from my dd to us... he has never had any shots. I know.. but I lost his sister and one of the possible causes was reaction to shots (she died of kidney failure at 6 mos) so I am a little wacky when it comes to my sweet bailey!!! But I guess I have to get his shots if I take him to a different groomer or get a pet sitter that is not realated to us Keep us posted... I think I would really find a way around having that shot again!!!! Good luck

| Poor little Riley - he's really been through it but I am so glad he's better and will get well from this.

| My Dexter had the same reaction to his 1 year vaccines. I was in a panic. I gave him benedryl and stayed up all night with him, while he had major hives and itching and panting, it was scary! Now my vet gives him a shot of benedryl before he gets his vaccines and we've never had another reaction like that again. Poor baby Riley, hope hes doing much better this morning!

| Poor baby... I'm glad to hear that he is starting to feel better. Vaccinations always make me nervous... I always make sure to give one per visit and am always scared after they get them.

| Riley, I'm so sorry you didn't do well with those mean shots!! Poor baby. Make sure to snuggle up with mama extra for the next few days. Luma tells me it works wonders to make you feel better! Xoxo I have heard so many bad things about allergic reactions to shots...Luma was lucky and did fine on her distemper, parvo, rabies, but to be safe we never gave her a bordatella nor the lepto...I wannted to keep it minimal.
