| Oh no too scary. Glad you made it to the ER and she is being treated. I was so praying for her! Makes me wonder if I should keep an epi pen around - what dose to these little guys take in an emergency?

| They used their version of the epi pen..in her back leg. She was screaming like Ive never heard the sound like that come from a dog...it broke my heart. I told them I think it was a wasp but we didnt see the stinger. Theyre holding her for a while...they didnt put her in a kennel...she is being held on the vet herselfs lap. Luma loves her...hopefully she is sleeping peacefully..omg crying again now

| Thank goodness you got her there! Sounds like she's made it past the initial danger of a severe allergic reaction and she's right where she should be. I'd stay as long as they would let me at that vet's office. Hope her swelling will soon start to abate some and she can be a little more comfortable. Cautiously relieved so far. That poor little thing has really be through it today.

| There was a news report about Killer Bees attacking pets in Lubbock... about 350 miles from you... too close for comfort. If she was stung, the injections may feel like more stings to her... Have the vet write you a script for an Epi pen while you're there... Thank God you got her there in time!

| Do they think she was stung on the face or mouth as most dogs are? Did they find the site of the sting?

| Poor sweet Baby Luma!! It sounds like she is in great hands (laps)!! You did a good job Carmen, so glad you rushed her in!! I think she will be ok!! Hope she is home soon so she can get some special love and spoiling!! ((hugs) The 2 times Peanut got stung was scary, the wasps are so much worse than bees! We have a lot of wasps that go down into the grass, Peanut doesn't see them and he steps on them! Thankfully the 2 times that happend we found the stinger and pulled it out, and rushed him in!!

| Hopefully they are looking for a stinger....if it was a bee, that stinger is STILL in there, PUMPING more toxin into her ....actually, it has been awhile since the possible sting, so it may be no longer doing that....something for everyone to remember if you see a bee sting your baby, remove the stinger ASAP! Then you can IMMEDIATELY give liquid Benadryl, up to 2mg/pound, for anaphylactic reaction.....dont try to pour liquid Benadryl into the dogs mouth unless the dog can still swallow!!!!! I am so happy you get to the vet...how is she doing?????????? I KNOW YOU ARE CRAZY WITH FEAR!!!!!!! |

| That's my kind of vet - sitting with the dog on her lap as she monitors her for a while!

| WWell we are back...they said check in in about 30min..so I went to the car to cry..lol. They said its gone down a very tiny bit but not as much as they would hope for..so she will stay at the vet a little longer. They said its one of the worst reactions to a wasp theyve ever seen. She just is a mess. I was so scared...she was drooling and foaming at the mouth, crying nonstop. She was being held by the vet and is shaking but seems okay. I just want to get her home and hold her all night. My poor baby. Thank you guys for the well wishes! If this ever happens again...I may pull the fire station plan! I never thought of that.
