Carmen, I am just getting around to catching up on YT. So sorry to hear about Luma's scary reaction to a wasp sting. Sending prayers and positive thoughts for a speedy recovery for Luma. Hope you are taking some time to rest as well.

To those asking for an update: she is still on steroids, sleeping a lot, she's been having accidents in the house when she has not had a single one in about 4 months...only when she poops though. Bad diarrhea I guess. She also is acting different. Follows me everywhere, refuses to get off my lap and growls when I try to move her, sleeps burrowed under my neck at night, whines if I leave the room, and is also snapping at my bf randomly. Never EVER done any of these behaviors before. I guess its the meds but vet wants to see her again to check up.

I'm sorry Luma is still feeling 'off'. I think a vet recheck is a good idea, especially if she's having diarrhea. I'm sure she'll get back 'on schedule' as soon as she's feeling better and being more 'herself'. Keeping you all in my prayers.

How is Luma doing???? I myself have a bad reaction to insect stings. Fire ants make me swell up like a softball. I got a red wasp sting on my finger a couple of years ago and my arm swelled like a stuffed sausage up to my elbow! We had a wasp get in the house last week and I paniced. My cat, Oreo, caught it and injured it enough that my husband was able to kill it.

Right now, till January 1, I have no health insurance. The COBRA payments were almost $600 a month and I ran out of money. Only a few more months and I will be on Medicare. I am terrified of getting stung again!

Shes great! Vet said she looks fantastic and she's really perked back up the past few days. Medicine is finished and she is having normal bm's...but now shes going potty in the wrong places, when I had thought she was fully pad trained and she was doing so well...i guess she got so used to being too sick to make it in time to the pad, now she's going anywhere she wants.

thank you guys for continuing to show concern about my sweet baby girl. The feeling is mutual, she loves y'all!

Very happy to hear Luma is doing well and getting back to herself. The sting was quite a trauma, and meds are often no fun for these little ones, so I can imagine it has a taken a long time to fully recover.

What a terrifying thing to happen to Luma and to you especially when your stuck in traffic and can't get to the vet fast enough. So thankful that she is on the road to recovery and I pray this never happens again.
