|  Her blood sugar level is also low, so you really need to try and get her to eat something to try and bring that up some.

| With Stephanie's permission~A very sad update After Macie's consult this morning with the specialist it was determined that her kidneys were very underdeveloped and she also had a liver shunt. She was not a good candidate for a successful surgery.  Stephanie decided that she needs to let sweet Macie pass peacefully and with out any further pain and suffering. RIP Sweet Macie.  Stephanie, A very wise man shared this with me and I now share it with you. Hugs~ Jodi

| Hugs to you Stephanie. You gave your sweet Macie a final gift of love. I know it was hard to make that decision, but you loved her enough to not let her suffer. She will be watching over you until you meet at the Bridge one day. RIP sweet Macie

| That is so sad to hear. Does liver shunt usually show up when they are pretty young? How old was Macie? Poor little thing. |

| Thank you everyone for your prayers and help with Macie. I know deep down it was for the best. She was so sick. The doctors even agreed. It hurts so much though. I really feel like Im dying inside. Ive never lost a pet before, so Im not sure how to deal with all this. I live alone and I work from home so I dont have much to keep me busy. Macie always kept me busy. Part of me wants to look for another Yorkie, but I know its early. I guess I'll just have to find something to pass my time. I know Im not ready to clean up her puppy room yet. I dont even wanna pick up her poop from this morning. |
