Pebbles is holding right now, the albumin is slowly creeping up(2.1) after 7 months. She is on a homemade diet , I consulted with an organization called Balance It out of California. I make the food and use their supplements. My vet suggested them. The reason I need to shake this up a bit, is her skin is flaking badly and hair falling out, probably due either to disease or combination of meds, prednisone and atopica. I would really like to sit down with a nutritionist and see what I am missing. Something is wrong for her to have skin issues.

You might want to have Dr. Chris Jones at GCVS see her! He is Cookie's internal med specialist. Then, you could see Dr. Lenox at the same time. Usually you need a referral I believe...but ask her and she can advise you.
Dr. Jones has a special interest in these GI things and he is an awesome vet. You would need a referral to see him as well. I cannot say enough good about GCVS! Cookie really has not seen him for a while because I take her to my vet for her blood work and it is then sent to Dr. Jones.

You may have to do it through your vet. I just received an email from Dr. Lenox today in reply to an email I sent that said she is out of the office until the 20th.

Thanks for checking on Cookie. She is doing fantastic. About two months ago she tore her CCL and had surgery...she was unable to be off leash until just recently. She is now making up for lost time!

She has not had any issues at all with her appetite and her protein levels are normal! She really is doing well!

So happy to hear Cookie is continuing to well. Having her return to normal activity must be such a joy, although she was such a sweet little stroller princess she might have chosen to continue that role.

Just checking to see if you saw Dr. Lenox. I just saw this link and came here to post it. I am hopeful it will help others who have pups with lymphangectasia...I recently saw a post about a pup with it but the owner is feeding something I am fairly certain is not recommended but sometimes you simply cannot say anything. Best to post this information with the hopes that people will use it.

I am thrilled....Cookie's total protein this week was 6.8!!! I have not heard from the specialist yet, but I am certain he will lower the prednisone again!

She has done so well and I am so grateful.
