| I am praying for little Wosie today that she'll do OK and that they can fix her so that she can grow normally. Bless her little heart.

| The surgeon called about an hour ago and told us Wosie came through her surgery just fine, and was recovering nicely! The growth plates are back in place, and we can go pick her up late morning. My husband took the call and did not ask a million questions like I would have if I had been here, so I don't know any details. He said the surgeon told him it went well. Thanks so much for all your kind thoughts and words! You are all very special people. I will let you know how Wosie looks tomorrow. HUGS to you!

| Thanks so much for the update! I have been thinking of Wosie all day today and hoping that things would come out good so it's nice to know she is on her way to recovery. Hugs to the little one when you get her home...

| Well, the surgery is out of the way! Whew! You still have a long road ahead of you, but all you can do is take one day at a time. Those young one's can heal well and bounce back whereas an older doggie might have problems, especially, adjusting to the situation. I know she couldn't be in better hands, though, and I'm certain there is a quietness around your home tonight that isn't usual.

| HOORAY! My little Wosie Posie is HOME!! She is a little sleepy, no surprise there, but she is home, she is pain free, and if it were not for the shaved leg, you probably would not even KNOW she had surgery for goodness sake! I am shocked: she has no cast, no bandage, just this little fold on the inside of her leg with disolving stitches. She actually does have a bandage where she got her IV, but the doc said I can take that off tonight. We have some pain meds that she gets once per day for 10 days, and we have to do physical therapy on her 3 times a day until she goes to the surgeon for her check up in two weeks. She probably will continue the therapy, and that's fine. We have to lay her on her side and stretch then bend the knee with the pins 20 times each session. We also have to ice her leg 3 times a day for 10 days. But she's HOME!! WHOOPEE!! Thanks again for your friendship and support! And here's a message from Wosie: ****** I be so happy to be with my Dladys and my Dabie again! Dose peeples at the dogters were relly nicey to me, but I did not know who dey were, so I be relly happy to be home! My leg it hurts a liddle, but I know Dlad will make it feel bedder soon! I am so happy to be sleepin on Dlad's lap, and I tink I can snooze here all day wid her, so mebbe I will. Tanks so much for being so good to my Dlad whilst I was in the doggy hospital! You are nice peeples! Good peeples! You should all get treats! Luv and licks, Wosie

| Kacee, Wosie is sleeping right now, but I know if she was awake she would want to kiss your little face all over for being so sweet to her! Tell your mama I said to give you an extra special hug and kiss from your friend Gladdi, OK? Thanks again, Kacee honey, for being the sweet puppy you are!

| Well, Wosie and I just finished her first bout of therapy. She was really good and got to 8 flexions before starting to wiggle and try to get away, so I picked her up and did 2 more with her leg hanging straight down. That worked pretty well, but I can see this turning into a 2 person job pretty quick. However, she adored the ice pack, and fell asleep with it on her. It must feel really good on her poor little swollen leg. I took a picture of her incision, but after reviewing it and thinking how icky it made me feel, I decided to spare anyone else with a sensitive tummy and not post. It's not very big, only about 2-3 inches, and like I said before, it's just a fold of skin. You can see only 1 stitch on the outside, all the rest are inside. It is a little pink, and I am keeping a really close eye on it. They said that infection is not uncommon, and I don't want to see that happen. I still can't believe they don't have it covered, but I guess they know what they are doing, right? Anyhow, I think she is doing great, and again I thank the people who keep checking back to see how she is doing! I know Wosie appreciates you too! HUGS!

| I think I will post this in the General Discussion, but for those of you who have been watching this thread, if you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I have to keep this normally active and kooky 5 month old puppy VERY QUIET for at least 4 weeks, and limited movement for a total of 3 months. No running, jumping, playing, etc. WHAT am I to do?? She is going nuts, she is so bored. She has never been crated for any length of time outside of boarding, but now I have to crate her to restrict her movement. She will tolerate the crate for a little while, and that's not long. Since I got her from the hospital yesterday morning, she and I have been inseperable. I have been either holding her or she has been in a box at my side. I think mainly I need help in the area of entertainment. She has a ton of chew toys which I only give her in small numbers, and if it looks like she is getting bored with one, I switch it out with another. But she wants to PLAY and doesn't understand why she has to be restricted of course. Any ideas? Thanks!
