Wosie hurt her leg last night...

She just wants to jump and run all the time, and now that she is feeling a little better, it's pretty hard to stop her, but stop her I must. I cannot imagine having to go through this again because she did not heal right because of overactivity...

Let me know how it goes. I can't imagine how you would entertain her. Especially, because I know how restless they get when they don't get exercise.

What with everything else she is going through right now, Wosie lost her first tooth last night! I can't get over how tiny this little eyetooth is, and SHARP! No wonder she drew blood on me!

Poor girl! Kacee lost the middle, upper front teeth first. Looked like a school kid! She looked even funnier with a bunch of all of the front teeth gone. Then her tongue stuck out all of the time.

I hope little Wosie doesn't have a bad time of it. Kacee is the only puppy I've ever had that was absolutely miserable at times, threw up a few times, even layed around a couple of days and looked pitiful, and went completely off of her dry food for a week or two. But she made it through the whole ordeal.

Ah geez, Karen, I sure hope Wosie doesn't go through what poor little Kacee did!! I have my fingers crossed!!!

I doubt if she will. Out of our four other little doggies, from the time I was a little girl, Kacee was the first one that had so much trouble. It was almost unnoticeable with the others compared to her.

Thanks, I appreciate the followup, Karen! I was trying to remember what Angel and Jasper went through, but it was so long ago, neither my hubby nor I can remember...getting too old, short term memory issues, I think, lolol!

We brought Wosie to the surgeon this morning for her followup, and Dr. Lew said she is healing quite nicely, is not favoring her leg, and has a full range of motion. We have to bring her back for xrays in 2 weeks, and after that, she can start short leashed walks if all looks good. YIPPEE! She's about to BURST from all the retained energy, lol.

Great news. Im so happy that Wosie is doing so well. TY so much for the update.

Wosie had her xrays today, just got a call from the surgeon's office to come get her. (They only have one xray machine and a bazillion patients so you have to leave your dog and they call you)

Doc says she is healing beautifully and I can now take her on daily 5 minute walks!!! Whoopee!!!

Yeah, like the girl is going to expend her rambuntious exuberance in 5 minutes but HEY it's a lot better than crating or carrying her around which is what I have been doing for the past 8 weeks, lol!!! They didn't tell me when to up the time, so I will check when I go get her.

BUT HOORAY! Her leg looks GOOD in the xrays!! HOORAY!!!

I'm so very happy to hear that. Five minutes will tickle her to pieces! The thing is that she's going to be mad at you when you take her back in if she's anything like mine! I think mine would walk all day if I could stay out with her. Of course, she's got a fenced yard, but she loves to go for walks. Sometimes when I make her come back in, she'll stand there by the gate pouting and giving me that look like I'm a mean person!

If you find out when you can increase the time, let me know!

The surgeon was in surgery, and her assistant turned Wosie over to me and asked me to call tomorrow. I will be able to know more then. She did tell me that her leg is healing beautifully. AND her 5 minute walks can be 3 times a day, so that's better! WHOOPEE!!

Three times a day is a gift! Isn't it nice to hear how well her leg is healing? It makes everything look better when you hear something like that, instead of something negative.
