I just got off the phone again with Novartis. There is nothing that will counteract Sentinel and the 1/2 life is 12-28 days. Again, we don't know if it's the Sentinel but it's on the list.

I spoke with someone who had a very similar situation when her puppies were 10 weeks old. They were diagnosed as having focal seizures and her explanation is almost identical Max's. Max will never have 'an episode' while playing. He is always sitting, laying or still and focused on something. He may go to sleep directly after and never has an episode while sleeping.

Sending prayers for you and Max that he will be completely healthy. I am thinking about getting another little girl but it makes me nervous to think about the health issues that could happen.

My Jacie is special needs (don't tell him tho). He has cerebellum hypoplasia. He does the tremors similar to Max, but he doesn't do the sliding down with it. Jacie doesn't do it all the time, mainly when he's stressed or concentrating on something, like dinner time. Our assumption is that it was caused from a brain injury, but we'll never know for sure. He leads a perfectly normal life.

I hope whatever your baby has is either fixable, or is something he could live a normal life with. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this and your breeders reaction as well. We took Jacie as an adult knowing of his issues.

Max is such an adorable little boy. I've loved watching the videos and Max and Cooper playing. I am so happy Max came into your life; you are his angel. I'm sorry you have to go through this pain and uncertainty right now. I know how much you love him, and I am sure that Max loves you too. You and Max are in my prayers.

i will learn as much as i can but ultimately it will be up to the doctors. he will see a neurologists and specialists if need be. they will know more than i will learn on the internet.

my vet is not ruling out the sentinel issue.

Be careful !!!! I went thru 2 specialist. They are not god, so yes you do need to educate yourself. My specialist told me Lola would die. She has been alive for one year now because I educated myself on her disease and because I found a new Specialist that is AMAZING that works with my Vet...Do your homework! Your baby will be in my prayer tonight....

Here is a bit more observation as I'm getting to know Max a little better:

He is still having episodes although I'm not quite as afraid because there's nothing I can do right now. I'm learning about them but still have no idea what it is. If he is in an episode, I can stop it physically or verbally. If i touch him he stops. If I call his name he will pounce at me with kisses. If he's very still I can even at times induce it by keeping him still. I can try to control it in advance if i keep him active. He will never "seize" or whatever it is as long as he is active - playing, eating or whatever. He will generally fall asleep afterwards and never do it in his sleep. I don't think that eating or not eating has nothing to do with it. I'm not seeing any differences on an empty or a full belly. Only if he's very still, he does it.

I just wanted to add as much as possible in case this is familiar to anyone else.

Such a sweet little boy Max is! He is very lucky to have you for his mom and advocate.

I don't think that dogs can get Tourette's, but I swear that description makes me think of it.
Maybe this is something neurological??

I can only assume. Another member had an identical experience that she says is Focal Seizures.

Thanks. If it's the sentinel, it looks like its stuck inside him for at least 15 days. There is no way to counteract it as per Novartis Doc.
