A puppy can hit hit's head no matter how closely you watch them. Just like a baby can fall and hit it's head. I sat right in my kitchen and watched one of mine run into a table leg the other day. She was OK but it could have been fatal.

I'm guessing the breeder was shocked at being told that the puppy had LS. Perhaps she did not handle it very well, but that does not make her a bad person.

We are only getting one side of the conversation here.

Let's just give everyone the benefit of the doubt until we have all of the facts.

Personally I'm confused at the vet being so sure that it is not the Sentinel. It very well could be.. Just because he has not seen a reaction before, does not meant that it can't happen. It's poison, and it's given doses that is also given to a dog 5 times the size of the puppy.

You don't know that. That's a terrible thing to say without knowing the diagnosis. The OP had the dog a couple of days before he started with the symptoms.

I can believe how quick so many of you are to lynch the breeder without a diagnosis.

Please be respectful to me and not argue in my thread. Nobody is bashing anyone. I never TOLD the breeder he has LS. I gave her the symptoms and she said it's not LS. We will hopefully work together. There is no blame anywhere. I haven't even mentioned who the breeder is. My puppy is sick and I would appreciate support ONLY.

No one is lynching the breeder and no one has told the breeder that the dog has LS - they've just said that it is a possibility. All people are trying to say is that they can't believe that a breeder would react this way. Telling a new mom to put her puppy down? Offering no help or support? If this were my breeder, I would be more upset about her behavoir than if she sold me a sick puppy.

This thread was supposed to be to help Karen and support her while she tends to Max. Let's not try to turn it into 'who gets to throw the first stone?' deal.

Karen, you and Max have been on my mind since I started reading this thread and I sincerely hope that there is nothing seriously wrong with him. It'd be awesome if it was just a reaction to something simple. Let's hope that it's something like Mardelin's puppy and it's just a reaction to a medication. He's still a baby and he's had so many changes in such a short amount of time.

Good luck today, I am really hoping for a good report.

Just checking in on how you are doing this morning and hoping for good news. No matter what the vet tells you today you can be sure that your friends on YT will all be there for you and Max. Hang in there it's only a few hours and you will hopefully know a few answers to what has been going on with Max.

Just for the record. I do not feel it is the OP who is bashing the breeder. it is a few of the respondents. And until the facts are in no one should be pointing a finger at anyone.

The comment about PTS could have been taken out of context, we don't have the entire conversation.

I know when you are upset, you want to find someone to blame, but it's best to wait until the diagnosis is made and the people are dealing with facts and not just suppositions.

I did not say the breeder knew the pup had liver shunt. I said it is unlikely that he wasnt showing symptoms when he was with her also and that is a fact
