| poor kylie :( help please... so last week was kylies first day in puppy day care. She only was there Tues and Friday and Fri i noticed she kind of coughed but didnt think much of it. When i had picked her up from day care there was a collar around her neck (I sent her in her harness!!) and asked y she was wearing a collar and they said its her "daycare collar". I left and then wondered if they keep it on her as ID or for walking. Well now it is a week later and kylie is still coughing (almost a gag) and sneezing ALOT. Especially when she gets excited. I took her to the vet and she did a test where she touches her trachea and she immediately gagged...so they vet decided her trachea was inflamed but she doesnt know if its from the collar or a cold...so shes on antibiotics in case..... Any advice? Have any of your dogs had this or similar symptoms and if so WHAT WAS IT? HELP PLEASEEE

| So sorry you Kylie is not feeling well. It could be from the collar. A friends little dog developed a cough after being at the groomers and came to find it was from the grooming noose. I hope your baby feels better soon.

| I would ask the daycare not to have anything around her throat ,maybe they could leave her harness on and put the collar on the d ring on the harness for identification purposes.

I think it is hard to find someone to care for your dog the way you care for him/her. My friend and I were so unimpressed with the day care facility, we started to day dream of how we would do it.

| The other thing is that doggie daycare is like child daycare - lots of germs. Our daycare has had kennel cough outbreaks. If it was indeed a collar, I'd be furious. I would not trust anyone to walk my dog. Our dog daycare here is an indoor facility so the dogs do not leave the premises once inside the gates.
