Bella's blood work came in today and all her major organs seems too be fine. Her fecal sample however hasn't came in yet so they'll call me back for that. I'm still worried about her right eye. Vet says it looks fine but it seems like she can't see from that side especially because she's only eating from the left side and leaves the food on the right. Also, whenever I hold up a treat on the right side, she doesn't seem to notice at all until i switch to the left. Is there any other tests to determine if it's her eye. Vet says she's responding to light in the right eye and everything.

We're going back in tomorrow morning for a bile acid test and to recheck her eye. They said we might have to be refer to a specialist for a MRI. They also want to start her on some trail meds if I wanted to but I rather not have her on any meds yet just because we can't pin point what's really wrong with her. What do you all think?

I don't know if this has been mentioned. I would not allow her free roam of the house when you're gone. Also, there are rubber bumper type edging that you can put on edges or foam rubber on areas she's bumping on to not make her worse. I does sound neurological. By now, I am supposing you've seen the vet. Any news? God bless you both and I hope it isn't anything really serious.

I personally think you should listen to your vet. Someone online with no veterinary education should not diagnose your pup! Actually, a vet should not be online diagnosing because what a person tells the vet may not be totally accurate....the vet needs to SEE the pup. I would not trust anyone to diagnose my pup if they were not educated in veterinary medicine...and would not trust a vet who diagnosed without SEEING my pup. Please be careful about taking online advice! If you are uncomfortable with what your vet is recommending, get a second opinion....from another VET!

I took Bella back to the vet today because she was suppose to do a bile acid test. When Bella's normal vet (a different person looked at her yesterday) looked at her, she decided there's something else going on and decided to cancel the bile acid test and send us home so she can look more into it. So then, she called us back today and said she thinks it could be inflammatory of the brain (possibly hydrocephalus?) but would still like to do a bile acid test just in case. So another trip to the vet tomorrow. I'm really hoping we figure something out soon. If nothing comes up, we'll be referred to a specialist 3.5 hours away to do a MRI and possible spinal tap totaling around $2700 (way more than I can afford right now) but I love my baby dearly and I have no clue on what to do. It's just that I'm afraid the specialist won't even be able to diagnose her with anything. Also, Bella's vet wants to start her on steroids and an antibiotic.

When I first got ZZ she fell down our basement steps head over butt, and hit her head a couple times on the way down. It knocked her out needless to say and after screaming and crying and trying to calm down she walked funny for 2 days (with a knot on her head) Kinda cute afterwards. My vet told me that they have very hard heads and their brain can "bounce" to that one side or the other and shake them up a little bit. He said in very small cases it can cause a neuro problem, in ZZ's case just the bump and funny walking for 2 days. I hope your case happens to turn out the same!!! Keep us updated!!! xoxo!!
