yeah get her in and do me a favor call dr centers tomorrow please she consults i believe for free as if this were mine due to mine having similar bile acids with no issues like this I would question being on clavamox and lactulose is really necessary at this point as she needs to be drinking water and sounds like your vet is not real up on liver issues

and sounds like she has declined since being on those three things - could be coincidence but not sure she really needs that stuff right now. I think she is going to need steroids more and if she did have a seizure just now that should not have happenedon lactulose and clavamox as those should be detoxing her so why i really feel this is neurological but needed liver shunt ruled out with bile acids and now that those are low i feel that is ruled out at this point

I really feel the neurologist is going to know exactly what is going on with her

did your vet ever xray her to make sure nothing spinal,etc? If not do not let her at this point just wanted to know if she checked that - if not just have specialist do it all you need to get this diagnosed and quickly

Thinking about you guys and praying. It must be so hard to see your baby going through this. Prayers every minute for you both.

awe thanks so much i have been through it and feel so bad for owners with sick pups so i try to help if i can to provide info to try to figure things out as it is tough sometimes getting to a firm diagnosis when it is a difficult situation so any signs or info they can give their vet or specialist and knowing what to look for helps i think.

I cannot wait for bella to get a firm diagnosis and be a happy pupster again

I called the neuro place today and they're all booked this week so we're going in on Monday. I was so bummed since I wanted her seen asap but Monday will do. I will keep you all posted.

In the meantime, please keep her calm. I know that AAI was mentioned and that could be a strong possiblity as well.

ok but please call dr centers at cornell university as she will talk to you over the phone and you can see about the diet, clavamox and lactulose as if she does not need that stuff then I would get her off of it since she is declining a bit

i really do not think AAI as she is not crying out in pain and those dogs have alot of pain in neck and have to be braced but it is definitely something neurological and i think they will put your little one on steroids so if they recommend steroids due to liver issue ask about prednisolone vs prednisone as prednisolone is broken down prednisone so the liver does not have to work as hard to break it down and with liver issue you want to do the prednisolone

Great Advice! Yeah the prednisolone is best for liver issue dog.

...I really hope Bella gets well soon. I can only imagine how scarey this all is

I feel like there's so much going on. I've noticed Bella's head is really thinning out and there's now alot of baby hair on her head. Sometimes I find small chunks of her hair around the house and this has never happened before. Is there any reasons for hair loss?

well hypothyroid causes hair loss and one of those things i posted was tied to thyroid - you will get answers real soon hang in there
