I do hope you follow the suggestions that were given to you to take your baby to a specialist (ortho). It really is important. These ladies "know" what they're talking about. This should be done "prior" to even thinking about a settlement. You need to have the estimated cost in "writing". Please be prepared. Store owners usually have the upper hand because they have to be prepared for these kind of things. They also have insurance. Now, please post the name of the groomer, owner and the store name. Putting it out there publicly, in a polite but factual way, will detour his bad behavior. Hopefully now and in the future. Good Luck!

| I can't believe the owner didn't show up. I agree with the above poster and following the advice and seeing an ortho. I'm glad you already have a lawyer. Good luck! Keep us posted on everything. How is your furbutt doing? Did they do the surgery yet? |

| If he didn't think it was important enought to at least let you know that he couldn't make it, then he obviously doesn't realize how serious your situation is. Maybe he was off dealing with another worker mistake?! ![]() I'm not sure I would even talk to him directly at this point if i were you. I would have your lawyer do it. Your lawyer will know how to play the game and this guy will probably be full of games. argh

| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Im so sorry this happened to your baby. I know what you are going through with the broken leg. The last thing you need is nonsense from the groomer. I wish your baby a speedy recovery.

| My goodness, that shop should be bending over backwards for you. I can't believe that they are giving you the run around, and I am SO sorry that you and your furbaby are having to go through this. My little girl broke her leg when she was a puppy, I know how horrible it is.

| Send the show a letter (certified)) with a copy of the vet records and the wholes story including date and time or the accident and who was responsible for the dog getting hurt. Also anyone you have spoken to so far. DATES & TIMES & Names! Very important. Write everything down. Keep copies. The Shop owner will have to sign for the letter. This way you have notified him/her of the problem. Also, remember to NOT bad mouth the shop. If you are asked, just say, "I would not take my dog there". Take pictures of your little guy. Lots of pictures. If this goes to court, a tiny little baby with a broken leg in full color stands out. Make sure you have names, dates, times, and have it all written out in detail. Good luck. |
