I totally agree....and a board certified ortho vet at that! It needs to be done correctly.

I have a foster that was on the receiving end of a cheap fix for a leg fracture. When I got him his leg was a mess. He ended up needing a bone graft...and pins and a plate with screws. He is lucky he did not end up with serious problems.

I agree, Make sure they pay for the existing vet bills , but any agreement should also contain payment for any future medical needs that are a direct result from this incident. I hope your baby is feeling better and recovers quickly.

I am sorry this happened.. I would also make sure the groomers paid this bill and I would make sure your puppy gets the best of care.. as already said an orthopedic surgeon should be seen so this baby does not have life lasting issue's .. praying you babie will be ok..

I definitely agree with the others, get an opinion of a specialist before you make any kind of agreement.

I totally agree with the others; DO NOT SIGN ANY PAPERWORK ! SPEAK TO YOUR LAWYER, because they and their lawyer will seem overly anxious to settle on a dollar amount; the dollar amount may sound so good in these depression times, but DON'T ACCEPT ANYTHING WITHOUT INCLUSION OF FUTURE MEDICAL TREATMENT AS A RESULT OF THIS INJURY !

Sounds like you have alot of good advice to consider. I just wanted to tell you how terribly sorry I feel for your furbaby and yourself. This is a horrible accident. I will hold you both in my thoughts and prayers.

omg. thats horrible. i would be so angry!

I would do as LadyMom suggested and see an orthopedic vet for sure so you can get a specialists opionion on what you should do before you settle for anything.
that was careless and they should pay.
i groom my own dogs now and even though i have a grooming table with the arm and loop, I am still extra cautious when it comes to their safety.
i hope your meeting tonight went well.
i'm sorry to hear you and your poor baby have to go through this.

omg I would be so livid, they need to be responsible for all the vet bills, that is the good thing about the pet smart I go too, they take care of all bills no matter how little or big. THey need to know how to take take of a wiggly fur kid, Im pissed just thinking about of it, I hope all turns out well

This is so sad, and is one of the worst grooming nightmares I've heard of.

Hope he heals ok, and that you get full compensation for good care for him.
