She's been online just recently - just didn't say anything cept for the post about this poor puppy screaming

I just want to say I hope things turn out for this little tiny puppy. She's been sick a long time and it bothers me too much to say anything more.

Update for Melody:

I was able to speak with Melody's vet this morning and Krystal will be calling first thing in the morning for the necessary medications.
While talking with her vet, we both agreed that removing Melody from her current environment would be more stressful on Melody. She has bonded with the other puppy and the owner and being taken from them at this time would probably do more harm then good.

We are just going to get her stable for now and then think about the next step. I read from one of the posts above that they don't do liver stunts in California? They do in fact do them. You just need to know who to contact. Someone posted UC Davis,this might be a good possibility. My cousin was a teaching oncologist and I'm sure he knows someone that could help.

I'm going to call the specialist in Arcadia in the morning and see what he feels about treatment. This doctor does it all. If anyone can work on LS, he's the one to see. This guy is so good, he works on every type of animal. It doesn't matter if it's Tigers or the small of animals. He is known across this country because of his reputation.

I'll keep you posted on all updates but please keep in mind, Krystal is very upset and needs our support for now. Think how you would feel if you were facing this situation. It's sad but right now it's in God's hands and he work out the way it's suppose too.

Let's all just say some prayers that Melody condition will improve with the medication for now.

So sad, just hope she get the help she needs.

The vet is aware of her condition. Melody had a uneasy night but she's sleeping for now and not crying out in pain. She only cried out twice and is calm and was playing with the other puppy for awhile this morning. Good Sign Her vet will jump on this first thing in the morning.
She'll be in by 8:00 and Krystal is to call her then for medications.

Krystal is doing the best she can for now but any vet will not prescribe any meds unless they have examined the pet. Standard procedure for any medical condition.
The vet is very aware of her condition and will be taking good care of her.

It's in God's Hands, let him do the Miracle. Let's all just keep sending Prayers for Melody for the time being. Everyone take a deep breath and calm down, it's a very difficult situation on Krystal and she's doing the best she can.

Yes, UC Davis I'm sure does perform the surgery. It is one of the top vet schools in the country.

Question and/or recommendation......your vet and/or Melody's vet needs to contact Dr. Tobias and Dr. Centers.....they both will work closely with whatever vet will be taking care of this wee one's medical needs. Providing consultation and assistance.....

I'm going to make a suggestion and I hope it is received in good faith. Once treatment has been established maybe we (YTers) can possibly set up donations through the vet who is going to be handling Melody's treatment....I know many of us can't contribute big donations but, $5.00, $10.00 here and there do add up.

I am so glad you found someone in your area this is so much better then having to go across country for help, melody is always the first concern here she has to have the will to live no matter where she gets help and being separted from her home might not be in her best intrested right now. I hope the meds will help her with the pain and by her some time.
