Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I am switching Molly to Canidae dry food! Also started her on the Tribrissen today. Will be giving her new vaccines soon also. My moms friend who has worked for an Equine hospital the past 30 yrs or so and is very close to the Vet at the animal hospital next door told him all about Molly and the shots she originally got from the breeder and apparantly the shots my puppy got are the worst ones around and any dog that goes into their clinic with one of those diseases was vaccinated with this brand of shots. So, I guess I am starting at square one. I personally am not one for shots but with this puppy and small breed dog, I am going to do it. I feel that most of the bigger dogs survive the disease but fear that would not be the case with this tiny little thing should she contract one of those. I do however want to vaccinate her every 4 weeks for a series of 4 and then again at 16 months old. I have read that that should give them lifetime immunity. That is the plan for now anyway. I really believe that yearly boosters can do more harm then good and are not necessary. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() What stinks is that the poor little thing had 2 series already starting at 6 weeks and I have to start all over since the vaccines they gave her were junk! Not to mention the 6 week one wouldn't even count being that it was given too young. ![]() I will check out that Vet hospital. Thanks! Not happy with the one here. Where do you live? |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I will give the name. Her name is Beth and the man that lives at the home with his wife (Beth's business partner) to care for the pups 24/7 is Dale. Beth's attitude stinks. Not a very pleasant lady. Dale is very nice and seems to genuinely care care for the puppies. However, they vaccinate them the worst shot around, they feed then C rated food and seem to not have a handle on their Coccidia issue and fail to disclose that to their customers! LA Kennel She also sold me Molly for $1,000 more than the first two that I saw because Molly, she said was a Teacup and costed much more money. What bothers me is that puppies are hard enough especially at 10weeks old. But a puppy at 10 weeks old that eats her poop and has Coccidia and is a picky eater is EXTREMELY hard to care for!! I with the holidays and now lack of sleep ended up getting pretty sick. Which makes this even harder! |

So, you were wone of those unsuspecting/uneducated puppy buyes....and fell for the teacup thing. Now you know there are California Pet Lemon Laws and this breeder is liable for your vet costs and possibly the cost of the puppy........Go to California Pet Lemon Laws, print it out and send it to her...... I'm so sorry that you and Molly are going through a tough time.......I would strongly suggest when your pup reaches 6 months of age you have her bile acid tested. Cover all your basis.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Yes this was my first time ever buying a small breed puppy. I have always had large dogs such as Labs although I do have an oversized pommeranian. He is the smalles dog I have ever had and he is an outdoor dog because he never grapsed the potty thing. I did ask Beth to at the very least to re-imburse me for the 2nd fecal test and the antibiotic. Here are the emails that we sent each other. Do I still have recourse after this? I have not cashed the check yet. Should I wait on cashing it? (I was shocked at hell to actually hear back from her and actually get small check.) I am sure she was afraid of what I might do! |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Oops! Forgot to paste the emails! Hi Lisa, How is Molly doing? I’m glad she is so happy, and that you have the time to give her the extra care a young Tea Cup needs. I’m sorry you had to spend an extra $20 for medication over your initial vet check and to go back for a follow up. Although it our policy not to pay outside vet bills since we have a vet on staff, we will reimburse you for the $20 for medication, and $45 for the recheck on her stool. We want you to be a happy pet owner. If Molly does need any additional vet visits however, we are happy to have her here and seen by our vet, and to care for her here if she needs it. But we cannot pay for any additional outside vet bills. We will stand by the health of our puppy, and again, the offer is open, we will be happy to care for her here and with our own vet. Molly’s health is the primary concern. I’m glad Molly has such a good home. Please e-mail the address you would like me to mail your $65 reimbursement to. Thanks Beth Hi Beth, To confirm with you the details about Molly; I purchased her from you on December 26th late afternoon. I then had inquired about all of the doses of Albon that she had received per your medication slip (last does only being the day prior Dec. 25th) and you had said "not to worry, that was just a preventative antibiotic for puppies who live in a kennel and that she was an extremely healthy puppy". I took her to the Vet on Monday the 28th and paid approximatley $88 for the office visit and the fecal exam. Today the 29th of December the Vet calls and informs me that she has coccidiosis and needs to start Albon. I today purchased that for $20 something and started her on it right away. I plan on taking her back to have a repeat fecal test in 1&1/2 - 2 weeks to be sure that it is all cleared up this time. She is a VERY happy puppy and does not appear stressed in the least. ( "The primary sign of an animal suffering with coccidiosis is diarrhea") She runs and chases us, is very playful and is eating and drinking. The diarrhrea I have seen has not been excessive and as bad at every stool. Some seem almost normal to me actually. The Vet is confident that Molly will get rid of this coccidiosis with this series of antibiotics and feels that it is best that she is now not with other animals where she can continue to get re-infected. If he is right about this, the only cost I should still incur would be the repeat Fecal test costing approx. $45. I drove a long way to get her and she seems very happy and content and is being taken great care of. I may have decided to get her at a later date had I been told that she in fact did have this parasite. It would be nice if you at the very least would reimburse me for the treatment that I had to pay for this so-called "healthy puppy" who in fact was not completely so. We love her to pieces and are all very attached to her as is she to us. Sincerely, Lisa Coccidia (Coccidiosis) in Dogs: A Cause of Diarrhea |
