I was emotionally a wreck and gave the go ahead for the surgery. My dog died exactly 4 minutes after she underwent anesthesia. I was billed $2,895 for the surgery! I am still paying for the bill even though I lost my beloved dog. I honestly felt like I had been robbed. My vet later told me that he seriously doubted that the dog could be saved but that he trusted the specialty vets and wanted to give Coco a chance. He was appalled that I was billed the amount I was.
Honestly some vets are only in the job for the money. Pets are big business nowadays and very few vets care about the owners and the heartbreak that a sick animal brings to us humans.
I hope that the OP can move on from this and hopefully one day be blessed with a healthy puppy to love. |
The vet at the EC is not to blame for any of this. She is not the owner of that clinic and only does what she is allowed to do! For the most part, Elly has been stonewalled by the people who answer the phones because they cannot say anything!
I spoke today with a vet who is in charge of that facility who was very nice and professional...and helpful.
