Aww that is soo sweet I am glad u had a big enough heart to take him in many people wouldn't like one time a female yorkie was missing and a neighbor found her and instead of holding onto her she let her loose outside again and I told her give her to me I would post flyers around and work through the internet so the poor little dog don't get runned over by a car or get's abused by mean people out in the street but she didnt listen i felt so bad... My dog Bingo has a bad Habit of running out any chance he see's the door open he zooms outside he does come back but I dont like it cause of other dogs and mean people and once he ran in the street and if i chase him he keeps running i know of alot of yorkies who run out of there house's I wonder why they do that i did read they feel that they are independent and can do things on there own but i would feel so lost with out my baby i try to feed him and pamper him as much as i can esp with walks if i walk him and leave to go out he barks at me from the window like mom u forgot about me lol i feel bad but he is to big to bring around plus he is a boy and alot of people dont like when u bring boy dogs to there house cause they lift there leg.... but anyway i hope u get lucky in finding his owner or someone willing to take care of his needs..

He is now on antibiotics but because he has a strong heart, he will go back on Tuesday to hve a dental cleaning and the Vet will remove the teeth that cannot be salvaged. He cannot live with the rotten teeth. For his health this needs to be done.Then I will take him to the eye specialist to see about the cataracts. I believe they are too severe to do anything with, but if we could just restore sight to one eye, I believe it would return some vitality back into this old boy's life. We will see how that goes. Need to get through the dental first.Thought you would enjoy hearing how he is doing. He slept near my bed last night and only cired out once. I put him in my arms and off to dreamland he returned. I am not sure how many more years this poor boy has, but while he is here, he will always have a warm meal, a warm bed and a belly rub whenever he wants one.
He continues to do very well. He is in his little bed by my feet at the computer which is where I work all day. He sleeps soundly... then we go outside for a pee and back inside we come. I wake him up to eat and he has a good appetite. So he eats 2 to 3 times a day and loves to pee in the grass, which beats peeing on the kitchen floor any day. He makes me so proud. Considering how old he is, the fact that he had yet to have an accident speaks volumes for him. I wish the younger dogs in the house would follow suit.

I hadn't seen any updates on Quinn, the Yorkie that was "lead by an angel dog" to a Yorkie lover home and then transferred to the Florida Yorkie Rescue in awhile so I email them (Florida Yorkie Rescue) yesterday for an update.

Kit gave me permission to post her email. She didn't even know Quinn's story was on Yorkie Talk and ask me for the link. I hope she's a member and can read all the love this little Yorkie received.

Here is an update on Quinn

Quinn is doing great. He had a dental cleaning two weeks ago. He only had two teeth pulled. The rest are loose but the Vet did not want to pull all of the teeth out of his head. So he still has them to use for chewing and none have fallen out, so that is a good thing.

He is now on a proper diet with supplements as well and is starting to gain weight. He sleeps a lot which I guess for anyone as old as he, he is entitled to. He loves his bed. He walks around the kitchen and den and explores a bit more each and every day. He now has a large back yard to roam in that is fenced in and there are many other dogs here but he pretty much keeps to himself. I find myself carrying him around a lot and when I work in my office he is always in his bed by my feet.

We think he does have an ability to hear, if the sound is very loud. And he does seem to sense where the glass doors are that lead out to the lania. Not sure if he can sense the light or can smell the air coming through. But in any event, he is doing very well. We have not yet made an appointment with the eye specialist but will be doing that soon.

GOD BLESS YOU for doing this for little Chewie/Quinn - there is no telling where he would be right now if it wasn't for YOU and your very kind soul taking him in and making sure that he went to a place that will be giving him the proper care and love that he needs.
