 Update on little Quinn
I hadn't seen any updates on Quinn, the Yorkie that was "lead by an angel dog" to a Yorkie lover home and then transferred to the Florida Yorkie Rescue in awhile so I email them (Florida Yorkie Rescue) yesterday for an update.
Kit gave me permission to post her email. She didn't even know Quinn's story was on Yorkie Talk and ask me for the link. I hope she's a member and can read all the love this little Yorkie received.
Here is an update on Quinn
Quinn is doing great. He had a dental cleaning two weeks ago. He only had two teeth pulled. The rest are loose but the Vet did not want to pull all of the teeth out of his head. So he still has them to use for chewing and none have fallen out, so that is a good thing.
He is now on a proper diet with supplements as well and is starting to gain weight. He sleeps a lot which I guess for anyone as old as he, he is entitled to. He loves his bed. He walks around the kitchen and den and explores a bit more each and every day. He now has a large back yard to roam in that is fenced in and there are many other dogs here but he pretty much keeps to himself. I find myself carrying him around a lot and when I work in my office he is always in his bed by my feet.
We think he does have an ability to hear, if the sound is very loud. And he does seem to sense where the glass doors are that lead out to the lania. Not sure if he can sense the light or can smell the air coming through. But in any event, he is doing very well. We have not yet made an appointment with the eye specialist but will be doing that soon.
