I don't have to pick her up today. I hope the roads are better tomorrow. If I wait 'til tomorrow my son will go with me. If I can't go tomorrow, I can pick her up anytime. They told me they are open 24/7, 365 days a year. As well as being a specialty vet hospital(with all kinds of specialists) it is a 24 hour emergency vet. | |

| Val I forgot to say. The vet told me that Lucy is able to change position, so she won't need to be rolled. |

| Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | glad to hear lucy is able to come home. I hope the weather clears by tomorrow and you can go get her. I understand your nervousness about her not coming home with a brace. its scary, even when its not something that serious. I fostered a Chi with a broken front leg. it as casted for two months and when that cast finally came off i was so afraid she was going to hurt herself and rebreak it. i still treated her like glass for another week LOL she's doing great now.

| I couldn't stand it, I went and got Lucy. The condition of the roads wasn't to bad, but the traffic was TERRIBLE. I took Caesar along for company, but he isn't very good at holding up his side of the conversation. Lucy was really glad to see me. She wasn't happy about riding home in the crate, though. I thought I'd be able to leave the top of the crate unzipped, but she was have out of it as soon as I put her in. And that was with only using her left leg. So, I guess I will have to use the playpen afterall. She wanted to be held. She looks pathetic. Her neck and chest are shaved. She's all cuddled up in my arms sleeping right now. Poor baby. |

| Oh this is great Janice.. She will heal better being with you and being surrounded by your love... This is what she needed.. I am so so happy she is at home.. You will feel much better now also.. How does she look besides being naked?? I know babybear was naked too.. It was shocking at first but I got used to it.. And it all grows aback so fast.. So they must have gone in under her neck not on the back side.. this is how they did babybear under.. You would think they would go though the backside to get there easier but they don't.. I can't wait to get on tomorrow and see how she is doing.. I am sure you got a big lesson today on range of motion therapy and how to stand her to pee and poo..Oh don't be shocked if she gets so spoiled that she will not eat on her own again.. I think that is what I did to BB.. he will not eat on his own period.. I have to spoon feed him off a baby spoon every feeding.. He will drink on his own though but no water it has to be coffee milk.. Talked to the vets because he wouldn't drink anything but that and they said as long as he doesn't get a upset belly that is fine.. So this is what he has to drink.. Yup spoiled..lol I am very tickled for you I really am.. Gentle belly rubs for Lucy..
