| Have you ever lived in a place that didn't allow pets, but had them anyway? Hey Guys and Dolls, I was just wondering how many of you have ever had pets in a home (house, apartment, etc.) in which you were not allowed to have pets, but had them anyway? I ask this because I live in an apartment complex in Jersey that doesn't allow pets, but I have Baby. I wanted to know if anyone else was "breaking the rules" and living on the wild side!

| I didn't vote because my answer wasn't an option . We are living in an appartment that officially doesn't allow pets. But I talked to my landlord (who we are pretty close with... we've lived here for almost five years), and he let me keep her. I was sooooo excited. I could not keep her if he didn't approve. I would be worried ALL the time to get caught.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Mine wasn't in the options but I choose the one that best fit my situation at the time. Back in college, lived in an apartment complex by the college with my then fiance. We had a cat named Felix. Our apartment was upstairs and the office was the building across the court yard. Anyway, Felix would get up in the window to look outside when we weren't home. Now, I KNOW that they saw Felix but they never said anything. Guess it didn't hurt that I had went to high school with the apartment manager's son.

| I lived in a townhome for 1 yr with my ragdoll kitten and never got caught. although, it was really a pain once i think about it because everytime they had to do inspections or maintence (SP?) i had to drive her 20min to my mom's house for the day or sometimes over night. it was kind of nerve wrecking! now i own a house and it's soooooo much better!!!

| My apartment complex allows pets but has a pet fee of about $500 for pets 10 lbs and up. We got Teddy liek 2 weeks after we moved in so we just never said anything. We like to make ourselves feel better because he's less than 10 lbs. lol.

| The first time I moved out I moved in one of my Dads apartments, he said " NO pets, NO kids" ~ HA... I took my cat the day I moved in! He said " I said no pets!"" I said " I heard ya." LOL, that was the end of that.. then I got another one, I lived there for 10 years! Slumlord.... LOL Couldn't beat the rent,, 100.00 a month, and on my birthdays and Christmas I would get 2 or 3 months no rent. Wondering.... Why did I wanna buy a house again... Oh ya so I could get a Dog,, ( and not have to live in an apartment forever)

| I answered for my daughter who used to have her Buddha in a student housing condo. She didn't tell them but when they "discovered him they couldn't do anything because he is a service dog and is allowed any where legally. She has since moved into a rental house which said that pets were allowed but charged a deposit. Because Buddha is a service dog she did not have to pay the deposit. |

| I have done it with a cat, lizard, and fish before. I would never do it with a dog, esspecially my yorkie. My old landlord was SCARY. She was alot older and made me feel like she was the high school principal and I was the student. Even though I never got in trouble with her, whenever I talked to her she always had a mean look on her face and I always felt like I had done something bad. I'm so happy to be away from her. Although the lady next door got caught with the neighbor across the street's dog on a couple occassions I wouldn't risk it because I didn't want to get on her bad side. It's just my yorkie barks alot, esspecially when I'm not home. Also she needs to got out in the yard to go potty. Sometimes a neighbor can get mad or jealous and tattle on you or make a random phone call. |
