High Speed Burst that helps with great grandchildren moving at the speed of light also Portrait Soft skin Transform, never used and wonder what it's all about. Self Portrait Scenery Panorama Assist Sports and this is another one to try even if not sports Night Portrait Night Scenery Food (it is still life) so I suppose a softer tone. I have to try that one. Party (some people moving and others not) Candle Light Baby Pet Sunset. (when you get a good sunset, turn the lights off in the room you are in to appreciate it more) You can see these cameras do so much of the work for you, if I had to set each of these settings while visiting with the babes, they be starting out at 3 yrs old and ready for college when I got done.

| It sounds like I have a similar one to yours. Mine is a Panasonic Lumix ZS3. It's about 4 yrs old. I didn't have time to change from macro zoom to high speed burst to get the butterfly, but then again, I wanted the macro effect of the butterfly anyway. There is a tracking lock for the focus, but I think the butterfly was just too small. I got one pic but the wings were closed, so no use in that one! BTW the transform one is to make you look taller. It stretches the frame either up/down or left/right. Not sure why you would use the left/right one though! Also I have not had good luck with the food setting at all. Very dark. The problem with these small cameras is the sensor is not large enough to let in enough light, and there's no manual settings to leave the sensor open longer. I guess it would work for food if it was in a brighter environment, but usually photo worthy food is in a darker setting, isn't it?

Oh thank you for the info on 'transform' how cool. I saw a still life and I have the book somewhere if I can find it, I will take a picture and show you all. The coloring is brilliant, it's like it covered with butter. First hint of spring, I want to get to the zoo and to a spot not too far from me with a butterfly or two.

| Here are a few more pics I took with this same camera, though not macro. These are all zoomed up from far away. Just a little grainy, but it was zoomed to the max. P1080510.jpg P1080417.jpg P1080401.jpg P1080398.jpg

| I have the picture but have never done well taking a picture of a picture especially in a book so know this wonderful sill life is 100% better from the artist photographer. I takes two full pages in Popular Photography/Take your best shot. I knew the minute I looked at that candle the flash was going to cause problems, I turned the flash off and the wonderful color was not true. So hear it is best I could do. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g3...ber2014001.jpg

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I got my Macro lens out just for fun and took some quick pics. This is my little foster doggie, Artie. The other pic is a close up of a small spring...look how you can even see the teensy fuzzes on it.
