LOL, I'm the same way and can't remember the settings. If memory serves, I usually start at around F-8 and 1/125, then bracket my exposure. I'm never sure about the aperature setting. Since depth of field isn't an issue unless you've got something in the foreground, seems like you could shoot at F-4 or lower...

The last shot isn't action, but I felt I owed it to Iggy to show her true personality. She is sweet and loving and adores her mama.

Love the sunset ones, I lived in Maryland most of my life, on the Bay. Where do you live?
Here are a couple sunrises, I think they fit the theme, sorry if I have used them before. I don't think I have, cause I had to reduce the sizes, LOL!

I live in Essex, just off Middle River. The pic of the sailboat is on Middle River at sunset. The other is Ocean City, MD at sunrise.

I'll bet you do miss home. That's some beautiful country in MD. I may get my toes wet for ya .... the last time I tried to swim I got tumbled over by a wave and the undertow almost took me out to sea!

I have a set of pics here, I never looked closely at them bc they seemed quite boring. I never throw anything away (a whole nother problem) and was looking the other day and came across them again. The times and dates are wrong but the seconds between pics is correct. What do you think this is? It's a white thing (comet or shooting star???) that starts out on the upper left side and travels over the sun. Taken in OC in Sept 2nd or 3rd week. 1-3 years ago. Around 7 AM. I didn't see it in the pics till last night! DUH! Didn't see it when I took the pics either!

That cat picture made me LOL! OMG Beautiful cat!!! But it looks like he is purposely sitting on the otherone's head.....and enjoying every second.

I have 3 cats in all, he's a Bengal, and he will sit on the others whenever he decides he wants to sit where they are sitting. He's actually on the other one's chest and abdomen... kind of looks like he giving birth!

Too funny. It's probably evidence of a UFO! I'd say too slow for a shooting star, but a comet is possible. You ought to Google and see if there was one in your area that day. Very cool.
