Foods that you absolutely hate.

I love hominy usually.......I have seen it dried instead of canned but never purchased it.

On another note, I tried again eggplant, which I previously thought I hated. Turns out I like the japanese eggplant and it was cooked in a miso marinade. I think the kind I didn't like last time was the big kind as it was kind of mushy.

I also tried kale today. Raw. Wow. That is one tough lettuce. I think if it were cooked it would be really good. But raw? Like chewing on plastic. Thick plastic. LOL

no what's Persian cukes? i keep trying to expand my foodie horizons but i'm unfortunately way behind. i have too many years of traditional country cooking (think everything at a golden corral buffet)

i dunno why people can hate hominy. my buddy in college did too. i made it for him for Christmas one year...i LOVE IT!! white or yellow i love em' both. great texture and good taste.

and i love real crab and i can stand to eat imitation krab when that's all there is in something. like krab rangoons YUMMM

so my most favorite thing in the world is rabbit. anyone able to try rabbit meat? it's best oven roasted smothered in onions

i still love home cooking, but i also have a huge need to eat ANYTHING else with bigger flavor. i just don't like the plain flavors. that's why i don't cook. i don't know how to cook the foods i now prefer to eat. i'm ok in making it up but not great. and i just like strange and exotic flavors as an adult.

my mom thinks chipotle is too exotic. taking her downtown to the chef's choice places would kill her. but i LOVE it. i'd eat anything you put in front of me honestly. plate it pretty and i'm going to try it.

but yes i do love a good meatloaf or salisbury steak and mashed potato dinner, turkey and gravy, roast, ext. it's all great.

so right now i'm craving a burger so darn bad that i told my hubbie to hold the casserole he was making and i'm going to burger king after work. i wanted five guys but they close when i close here......WHOPPER here i come!!

They are small cucumbers from the Middle East. They have hardly any seeds and are slightly sweet, and the skins are never bitter. I don't know if there are any middle eastern markets in your area. LOL

I don't really care for biscuits. I guess they are a little dense for me. Smothered in gravy makes it edible. I love shrimp and grits though. Or polenta if you wanna be fancy.

This made me laugh. Bf's BIL is white, and his parents think El Pollo Loco is ethnic food. They are old school and from OH. When we have a family dinner, there is the traditional viet food, and then their food. LOL

i just realized city market has viet, ethiopian, indian and paki and other foods like pierogies and italian markets too... CANNOT WAIT TO GO DOWNTOWN NOW i knew i liked this city living thing
