I was just at the market, and the "ranchero" is soft, so can't be crumbled like cojita. There was a third Cacique too but I forgot what it was called. That one was even softer and had water in it. The ranchero had a bit of water. The cojita had none.

I understand completely - fries w ranch are one of my downfalls, except I eat them w some melted cheese and bacon . You resisted the cheese and bacon!!

Half a philly cheese steak again, and some more fries with ranch. . But now I am having a quinoa salad. It's not bad. That's just a snack though. Might have something else too.

Did you make the Quinoa or buy it prepared? I have red white and black quinoa in my cupboard!

I bought it from Fresh and Easy. It's with corn, red bell peppers, onion, black beans. I've never had it before, and heard it's healthy so I wanted to try it. Don't know if I will buy more next time. Maybe if I"m in the mood for it. I prefer coucous or tabouli

It cooks exactly like rice. it's nutty but needs other flavors to help it out. It is a nutritional powerhouse though
