I have been known to stand behind an open kitchen cupboard door, and drizzle it straight into my mouth.... I always use Rowes honey (nothing added, nothing taken away is their slogan...!!!) - so many different 'flavours' and yes you're right - its all dependent on where the bees feed - Rowse

| I'm totally bored with eating lately. Just don't want anything. Does anyone else ever just get tired of the whole process of fixing food and eating? Too many other things to do. I wish Diet Coke and iced tea were nutritious.

| I get in those slumps too. Especially because I have an idealized concept of what foods I think I should eat and want to fix for my family. We butchered a young lamb recently and haven't even prepared any. Seriously, some chickens too and you know what we just ate? Take n bake pizza, chocolate cake and Icecream. Well it is my little boys eight birthday but still. I just filled my cupboard with packaged food and felt a pang of relief, excitement and disappointment. Where is the satisfaction in that? The pace of life is so demanding! Work and family- man I have laundry for eight human people and a well dressed yorkie! Lol!! When I get in those modes it helps if I just munch raw vegetables. I'm far from vegan and a hearty mountain woman but raw vegetables seem to restimulate my appetite and remind me what real food tastes like.

| Haha - we'll see when lunchtime rolls around. Oddly - and I know this will shock you, pepperoni pizza doesn't even sound so good right now but I just had an egg and toast and am feeling stuffed to the brim. For some reason, I'm in a plain, simple-food mode lately and don't have that much appetite even for that. But every year about this time I just kind of get tired of eating. Cool weather always brings the appetite back though!

| The ringed egg I know lots of people don't like onions. I do and eat them daily! I try most anything different in ways to fix them for a new treat. (Haven't found any way I don't like yet!). Try this, it will surprise you even if you don't like onions! Cut a large onion to get large rings near the center is best. Heat the skilled with butter or good oil. I prefer butter. Add whatever seasoning you like. I use Johnny's Seasoning Salt! Haven't found anything better. When the skillet gets hot around 250 to 300 degrees or so, put the onion rings in to slightly cook before dropping the eggs, one in each ring. With the hot pan and the onion slightly cooked, nothing will seep out from under the ring. Allow to cook to your desire an flip over or sunny side up. They go extremely well with another dish I like. Cube some potatoes in half inch or so cubes, add green chopped bell peppers, some more onions, A little Cilantro, and other seasonings you wish to your taste. Cook slowly in coconut or avocado oil (any kind you like) slowly not to burn. Add some sausage, bacon or ???? and you have a king's breakfast. Just don't allow your best friend the doggie have any, Onions are poison for dogs. Enjoy! |
