Felt indulgent driving home in the grey pounding hail through torrents of rain and got a Starbucks Carmel macchiato and a warmed cheese Danish...I don't mean to sound like a spoil sport but the beautiful sunshine came pouring out and put the kabosh on any plans I may have had to continue in my indulgent behavior.... Not like I was planning on snuggling a yorkie in fleece blankets while sipping coffee and reading a book or anything crazy like that!

| Probably only God knows how much I love a good, chilled chicken salad or chicken salad on a croissant with all the stuff in it from pecans to apples to celery and boiled eggs and some black olives and any good stuff you want to add. I haven't had that Subway chicken chopped salad yet but I'll bet I have one soon. A good chicken salad is one of my favorite foods in the world. Our local McCalister's Deli serves one of the best chicken salad sandwiches ever and always includes a huge slice of long dill pickle!!! Oh, my goodness - now I'm starving for chicken salad!!!

| Just had chicken/seafood gumbo. My momma's family was from Abbeville, La....and they all cooked that GREAT Cajun/Creole food....I love to make gumbo....classic, original, old time gumbo....which involves standing over a stove, stirring a roux. This was not a problem when I was young, but now, it is diffiecul to stand and stir continously. I found gumbo in a jar that is the absolute closest thing I have come across to the gumbo we make from scratch. It is called Cajun Power and cuts way down on prep time and tastes great! There is a hint of vinegar....dont know why they put "vinegar flour" in it....if that was removed, it would be a dead ringer for mommas gumbo! It is good enough to give up making it from scratch! Pour the jar of sauce in a pot, add 2/4 a jar of water, add chicken, simmer for 45 minutes, ad okra, add shrimp....simmer 15 minutes after each addition...serve over rice.....WONDERFUL!! And I looked on the jar at the ingredients and see it is made/bottled in Abbeville, La!!!!!! |

| I have that for breakfast many days of the week, lol. Subway is one of the few places to grab a bite nearby my work and I have to say- I love their chicken chopped salad especially for bReakfast. This forum is titled something like "what you honestly just ate" right? So honestly, the kids have gymnastics on friday evenings so afterward the eight of us cross the parking lot to Dairy Queen and eat dinner there and have ice cream as a special treat and commencement to the weekend. That said the last thing I ate was a crispy chicken sandwich with French fries and a mini Oreo cookie blizzard- I am super boring and get the same thing every time.

| Oh I can't tell you how much I embody that statement! I actually have to be really prepared and think about it before I make a food choice because it is such a disappointment to waste that calorie intake and digestive space on an unsatisfying meal.

| I just got finished eating a 1/2 Bacon,Turkey Bravo Sandwich from Panera. OMG it was so good. I have been seeing commercials on TV and this sandwich was in the commercial, SO I had to try it.

| Dang, those things look good in living color and high definition on the big screen!!! I'll bet the actual experience of smelling and eating it was amazing.
