Hi little big thread I have a kidney stone that is moving and causing me considerable distress. Spent days in hospital and will have to go back in a couple of weeks to have the stone blasted so it will pass. Such fun!! I've had them before so I know what to expect. Sigh... So how are the rest of the thread posters? Everyone doing well? Betty, still praying for your DH. |

Having the stone blasted in the morning - if my son-in-law remembers to get up in time to get me there. :confused: It only takes an hour and then an hour recovery and then I get to go home. I know my daughter will be there to get me. :) I didn't get the flu. I got the shot. I'm sorry you had to experience it. Are you all better now? |
Yes i am fine not so sure it was the flu but a case of allergies |
Stone blasted and starting to move. I'm very sore but that will be better in a day or so. Glad that's over. Two more weeks and I get the stent out and hopefully be back to normal. Tink decided to attack the pit bull next door through the fence tonight. I wish she wouldn't do that. She just bites at the wooden fence until her little mouth is almost raw. If that dog ever broke through the fence, she'd be mince meat! It really scares me. I put her on a tie out when she goes out to potty but every once in a while she gets out the door before I can hook her up. Bad baby! |

Hi everyone! Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I'm planning to do a little shopping - need some new dress slacks and a couple of tops. I've lost enough weight that my daughter told me my pants are too big and look sloppy. Really?! Nice! And then I'm hoping to get some dirt and start getting my perennials planted in the back yard. I can't do it because our ground is so hard and rocky but I hired a young man in my neighborhood to do it for me. Tink and Stuart are having a tough week. Tink reinjured her left back leg and is hopping around on 3 legs. She sees the vet this morning. Stuart is coughing his little head off still but he's out of prednisone and I don't think he can have any for awhile. I took him back to the dentist and he says there is nothing he can do to help him and just keep him comfortable until it's his time to go. Poor baby. I think he knows cause he wants to be held now and he never did before. Bless his little heart. |

Well, I never did get to go shopping. My neighbor came over and needed some help translating a document so that's what I did for the afternoon. No problem, glad to help out. So maybe tomorrow I'll go looking for some dress slacks. Cause I need some NOW! |

Stuart is so sick. I have to get him in to the vet today. I hope she can help him. He's old and was so neglected. Sad day...:( |

Sorry, I forgot to update the post! :( Stuart is not doing well. I'm doing my best to keep him comfortable and as alert as I can. The vet said all we can do is give him comfort meds - what we've been doing since I got him but she's increased the dose on the prednisone and the Carbamax. She said it's hard to tell how much longer he has but she thinks several months yet. So that's good at least. Everymorning when I wake up I listen to hear him breathing. Sometimes I can't hear him so I have to put my hand on his chest. He sleeps most of the time now but he will walk around the yard to go potty. It's sad.:(:( |
Sorry to hear about Stuart. I know how hard it is to watch them failing and there is really nothing you can do, but love them and keep them comfy. Please give him a little hug and kiss from me and Winston...Know that he knows and appreciates all you've done for him...may you be blessed! |

Thanks Kathy and Betty. I'm glad to have had him for just over a year now. I really wanted him to leave the world knowing that someone loved him and took good care of him. The Lord has answered that prayer. He may be a crabby old man but he's so appreciative of anything I do for him. Bless his little heart. Tink even likes him now! ;) |

Stuart went over the Rainbow Bridge this morning. I'm so sad but I know he's resting now pain free.:( Tink is so confused. She keeps looking for him and calling for him. She's mad at me and won't let me hold her or pet her. She knew this morning that he was dying when I took him to the vet. She kept smelling his head and pawing at his legs. So glad he's not suffering anymore. :) |

Thanks Betty. Tink is starting to come out of her depression. She still walks around smelling everything looking for him but at least tonight she ate something and came and layed beside me. I'm going to look for a memory stone to put in my back yard for Stuart since I couldn't dig a little place for him to rest. Our ground is all rock and I'm not well enough to try to dig through it. But I want something for him. Betty, how are you doing? |
