Another pound down, seven total. Still hanging in there. Funny thing is, I feel like I've lost more...the scale just isn't showing it. My clothes are fitting so much better. |

I know it will, but again thanks for the support. I am not giving up this time...this extra weight has got to go!!! One thing I noticed today is I'm starting to get my waist back...good to see...it's been way too long!!! |
Yeah Kathy! :thumbup:A waist is such a morale booster don't you think? :D I haven't seen mine for forever! Never had much of one even when I was thin. I go on the prednisone when I have flares of the rheumatoid arthritis. Sometimes it's weeks sometimes just one week. Off it now though. :) I didn't gain anything - just maintained. So hopefully soon some more weight will jump off of me. |

If you can be on prednisone and not gain weight you are very fortunate. It's a miracle med though for many people. I have never needed it, but my dad did for lung disease. And my sister-in-law for lupus. Good luck with continued weight loss!!! |

Blessed Sunday! So thankful for the rain we got last night. Not much but anything is welcomed. It is so humid out you can hardly breathe. I took all the bird feeders down, cleaned them and refilled them this morning before church. I was just dripping by the time I came inside. The shower felt so good.:) Tink :aimeeyork usually jumps in the shower with me but I didn't let her this morning 'cause I didn't want her sitting around with wet hair with it being so humid. Tala :animal36 just sits by the door and guards it. :rolleyes: I usually keep the air conditioning set at 80 but this morning I set it at 78 cause it's just toooooo humid. Did I say it's humid here today? :D |

Still in the 90s here and humid. Wish that humidity would turn into rain. They keep saying we're gonna get some but it's not making it to my house? We had a little bit last Sunday but not much. Businesses on the lakes are closing because the boaters can't put their boats in the water and the piers are way too low to reach. I'm still able to water once a week but I hear that is about to change too. We need water - please Lord?! Tinkerbelle turned 7 last week. We had a quiet birthday party with peanut butter cake and ice cream for her a Tala. I love them both so much! :) |
Hope you get some of that much needed rain Susie, it's storming here right now and Winston is all upset. We need the rain...but without the thunder and lightning please!!! Happy 7th birthday Tink!!! Winston wants to know if she's old enough to "date" yet??? |
We did get rain today! It rained most of the day and I'm guessing we got about 3-4 inches. I forgot to watch the late news to see. Everything is soooo GREEN. I sure hope it helped our lakes. They are horribly low.and islands have appeared. Yes Winston, Tink can date now. She's all grown up. ;) |
Winston would love to be Tinks first "date"... It seemed to storm most of the night here, we got about an inch of rain...the yards here are all very brown, the only thing growing is the weeds. I've given up on my roses this season...maybe next year will be better. I can hope!!! |

Seems it was the time for rain. I'm so glad. :D I'm going to try to seed all of my front and parts of my back yard this fall to see if some the grass will come up next spring. I'm going to be careful where I seed tho because I;'ve decided to do some xeriscaping in the back. Since there will be tiny kids playing back there for a few years, I am researching the kinds of mulches to use. |

Thanks Betty. I called a friend who is an architechtural landscaper and asked him to come give me an estimate on designing a xeriscape for my back yard. He hasn't called back yet but I hope he does soon. We're to get another inch of rain today. I sure hope it happens. Even though we got some nice rain last week it certainly wasn't enough to end out awful drought. Kathy, it's so strange that you are sooo dry and my sister in Carlinville is drowning this year. It's a looooong state. ;) Tink ran out in the mud this morning (from my watering and filling the bird baths) and made an awful mess on my carpet. Into the sink with her and a quick bath. She is sooooo mad. :mad: Too bad Tinkerbrat!:p |
Good luck with your landscaping Susie. It is still very dry here, we got about an inch of rain one day last week...there is very little green here right now and the leaves are beginning to change as well. It's hard to believe it is fall already. Not sure where Carlinville is. Must not be close to me...what happens in the north or south parts of Illinois does not necessarily happen in the mid state area. Anyway, at this point I'm just hoping for a nice autumn and a mild winter. |
