I know what you mean! We moved from a 4,000 square foot house into a 1,100 square foot condo after we gave the house to our son and his family. Talk about stuff...we had 2 auctions and a huge yard sale and still have extra stuff! I keep opening closets and drawers and thinking 'now, why did I put that there?'...oh yah...because there is nowhere else to put it! lol! I'll get a grip on it eventually...or I'll move to a bigger house again! |
Hey peeps...sorry I missed you guys. Susie you'll find a special place for all your things. Eventually it will feel like home to you. Tink is just taking her sweet time getting use to her new home, she'll come around, won't you Tink? |

Susie - how far does your daughter live from you now? I've been in my place now for 4-1/2 months and Tinka is JUST starting to be ok being left at home. It's been rather a pain in the neck. lol. I've had to take her with me everywhere I go until about 2 weeks ago and now I still can't be gone for more than 2-3 hours. She's been more work than a baby, I think. I don't have a place for everything I brought along, either. Luckily there is a large storage/closet in my apt and it is stuffed full. Need I say that a lot of it is dog stuff???? Can't believe I have that many dog beds... lol Keep us posted on how things are going for you and Tink.:) |
Well girls...the dog stuff was the easiest to figure out. I put beds in the living room and bedroom, kept 2 good blankets and the rest of it was taken to the local shelter. I took 8 dog beds, several large, new washable potty pads, blankets galore and a few fleece crate liners...not sure what else went but they sure can use them! When I go through the crates in the basement I plan to take more to them...I know I have several stainless steel dishes and more beds in those crates...and don't even ask me about harnesses and matching leashes...yep, they'll go too. I'm planning to have a large garage sale when the weather gets nice but I will take all the pet stuff to the shelter. Now, if I could only be as organized with 'MY' stuff...but I just can't see myself giving away my purses! |

I've done some rearranging and got all my stuff put away with room to spare. Except for the blankets. I definitely have too many so I kept 4 of them and the rest went in the van and I've been giving them out at the streetcorners to the homeless this week cause it's cold down here! 23 degrees last night. Surprised me! Quote:

I was also diagnosed with carpal tunnel in both arms that was causing issues and pain all the way up to my neck and shoulders. I had surgery on my right hand last Wednesday and just got the splint off yesterday. I'll have surgery on my left arm in a few weeks. So, I'll be in and out for a while... |

I am the definite thread killer! I posted a fun new game a few days ago, and no one posted on it, so I posted on there again to give a hint, and still no one posted! My feelings are very hurt! |
Wow, it's been awhile since I stoped by....23,272 posts later and TK is still alive!! :D Carol, congrats on Sydney Lyn!!! :D :D |
Yep still alive and waving once in awhile. No more kickin' or stirrin' things up. Just a wimpy little wave now and again. But that's OK. We love our little big thread. :) |

Susie, Sydney doesn't have long hair YET!! I am sure her daddy will want it to be long though if he follows suit like "his" dad. And yes, I have been doing soooooooo much sewing for that little girl.......I just love her sooooo much and husband is smitten with her. I will try to post pictures. You know how that works sometimes. :( Ok I give up. I resized them and it still would not let me post them and I don't have the patience or time to keep resizing it for now. I'll try later. :p |
Hi!!! |
OK, just had to post back that I'm so happy people started to play my game! I'm not a thread killer after all! |

This thread may never die cause there are some of us who always feed this thread. She was a life saver for me, so I've got a vested interest in her. Come back and post on her again some time. :) |
OK, I'm back to say hi... and please go post on my six degrees of separation thread! It's really fun, and interesting! |
I can't get my thread to register a heart beat...So I must be the killer. |
