Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | What Is Going On Here?????? I just don't understand what is going on here anymore? It seems like you can't post a thread about anything without getting you butt chewed for it. What happened to the kindness that YT has had? So what if there are hot topics don't you think we should all stop making them so heated???? you can't talk about....... 1. Breeding: If you ask a question or are considering or forbid your dog is pregnant you get freaking chewed for it! WHY??????? Who has given everyone the right to ridicule someone else for their personal business..... It has gotten so bad that a lot of people are afraid to say anything and in turn this really diminishes the HELP that anyone can get from this board! Yes i know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Geeze lets have a little class and tact when we do it. Also any other heated topic it's like YT has turned into a nursery and poor admin has to be the babysitter. I'm sure everyone has herad the phrase... IF YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING NICE THEN DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL.... Someone should beable to recieve help from some very knowledgeable people here but because they are too afraid to ask for fear of being ridiculed they may make a life threatening desion that could have been prevented!!!! If someone wants to breed their dog WHO CARES!!! it's their dog their choice.. If someone wants a 2 lb teacup WHO CARES!!! it's their dog their choice.. if someone wants to buy from one vender, if someone doesn't like some treats, WHO CARES!!! it's their dog their choice.. I think everyone should really sit and think about where you would be without YT right now how many have had life changing benifits from being here and being able to learn.. I for one am thankful fore this site and the people here but if it keeps going this way there will be no good info to learn from because everyone will be to afraid to ask it Please don't ridicule me for posting this i just feel that it needs to be brought to our attention again that we are people behind the screen and we do have feelings.

| When you have a public forum, you have so many people with differing opinions on all kinds of things, and everyone has a right to say that opinion. That's what a forum is about - to discuss things. And because everyone has such differing opinions, things do get heated sometimes. I think that most people do stay civil and say things tactfully but you do get those that are just outright rude which is not right. But say - someone posts and says "I have a 2lb teacup yorkie and I want to breed her my mom's 10lbs shihtzu" and then goes on to say that both dogs came from a petstore. Would it be right for everyone to just say "Oh, your dogs are so cute. They'll make such cute puppies. Good Luck." I don't think so - I think the person needs to be made aware of how difficult breeding is and what can go wrong. And of course you're going to get opinions on breeding mixes and petstore dogs. I dont think there is anything wrong with that as long as people say things in the nicest way they can. Sometimes we all have to take a step back and see that although we all have different opinions, we are all connected by how much we love our yorkies and the yorkie breed. And YT is such a great place to talk about our babies, share pictures, and tell each other how wonderful our dogs are. But YT is also a great place to learn to, and when you're discussing issues you're going to have differing opinions.

Exaple to the senario you posted about the 2lb dog.. Good reply: Glad to have you here on YT! I am an experianced breeder and since you have a very small female i would like to say that it is very hard on them to be pregnant and deliver puppies and breeding to a larger male could cause you some other complications i would love to help you out in anyay i will pm you with some helpful tips bad post: OMG your going to breed a 2lb dog how dare you don't you know how unethical you are?you shouldn't even have dogs. see the difference? the first one avoids a heated down your throat approach and could be very helpful to educate someone

| Amber I understand your frustration and anger, I myself have seen about three threads in the past 2 weeks where all I could do is shake my head .... It may not be what we want to admit or even like to hear but this kind of attitude will not stop...this is a character problem, there is no way 20,000 people are going to get into a group and all of them are going to be decent, caring, kind, considerate, and understanding etc. etc. it's just not possible... I will say, like we all do when this issue comes up, is that the good does come way ahead of the bad....it stinks, but that's the way it's gonna be... I'll bet the few who do do these unpleasant postings will read this and will think it has nothing to do with them....typical....it's all in the character of the individual....

| i have to agree that there are some topics i try to avoid because my opinion differs from other people and some people can very strong in the opinions and get down right nasty. i dont talk about my mix breeds, i dont talk about breeding to anyone on here. i have studied and learned from many things but if i was to come on here and say anything about it, i would get cross words and dont wont to bother with that. just like that thread where someone was looking for a chorkie someone told the op that is what unsuitable to ask about chorkies on a yorkie website or forum, and some other rude remarks to the person..shoot i would never post again because of that one person (sorry if you are reading this but its true). when i joined i didnt have my yorkies yet, just my yorkie pom cross and i was welcomed with loving post that was a long time ago |
