| ![]() I've dropped off a lot lately because of a new feeling of negativity on threads that wasn't here when I joined. I've seen threads being closed, people being bashed indirectly on other threads, etc. (The new batch of crazies who pop on every so often are not so bad - they're even funny and I don't let them bother me.) What bothers me is the unnecessary nastiness I've seen. I'm finished buying into the excuse that this is an open forum and everybody is entitled to voice their opinions. This is true, however, putting that same opinion as nicely as you can is an adult choice. I don't have to listen to anyone's opinion if I feel they're just out and out nasty about how they state it. As far as I'm concerned, that excuse is nonsense. The reality is that some people don't want to post here anymore, so, true or not, it's just not working out well. Learn to be nice about what you have to say, or don't say it at all. In other words, grow up! I just got a new puppy and haven't really put up too many pictures, nor shared a lot about her and Max. There are some people here who I do not want to share my joy or my business with. I don't need their negative energy in my life. On the other hand, these people are in the minority. Most YT members are wonderful, amazing people who I care about. I care about your dogs, your families, when someone is sick, when you share your happiness and your sorrows. I have also learned 90% of what I know about Yorkies from YT. I could not have raised Max so well without the help and support of YT. I certainly couldn't have found Gracie Leigh without the help and advice of YTers. I'll be back on, but I do not believe that "freedom to state your opinion" crap. State your opinion to somebody else. I just don't care all that much about it and I don't want negativity in my life. Just my opinion.

| ![]() Here's another question and point to consider: At what point do you post based on the dog's well being vs the person who may have their feelings hurt? Where do you draw that line? I.e. "I'm going to breed my 2 1/2 pound female" At what point do you take the dog's interest to heart and base a response on what's best for her vs 'not caring' and refraining from posting altogether? ![]() |

I can only remember two posts where I was taken aback, one of them posted a reply peppered with exclamation points...all I could think was,"Why didn't you just ask for clarification w/o the shotgun blast of exclamation points"..... sheesh....then I got over it....

| ![]() Just let me interject my feelings here. I do try to temper my words when posting. However, it's very difficult when you see people come on here posting about accidents....or people that haven't done their homework. It does anger me, because they didn't think of the dogs.......yes, to me they come first. To me it's irresponsible pet ownership, but it doesn't stop me from attempting to help.
