I need to make some serious changes in my life,one...getting off YT. I rush through my daily chores so I can sit here most of the day! I need to limit my time her. Also, I have been drinking regular coke since reading all the stff about the artificial sweetners. I drink 3-4 pepsi's a day. I justr can't believe I have let myself get this big! Im wearing 10-12 . My husband tells me oh stop you aren't in your 20's anymore.Well, I sure don't want to look like Im in my 50's either...help! |

It's just amazing how the lbs pile on before you know it. Your not alone. However, Pepsi is full of sugar. Find something else to drink. Try water with lemon in it or better yet Propell flavored water. It's the best. It only has 10 calories in it and you can down it like a soda and it's better for you. The peach is awsome and so is the cherry and grape flavors. Hang in there you can do it. We're all in the same boat and it's gonna sink if we don't loose the weight. Ge on board so we can cheer you on. I am back to using sweetnlow it's better than SPlenda. I had side effects from it and I have used S&L for over 30yrs. So I feel safer using it. |

Hooray for you:bravo: You must feel great. That's a real accomplishment. I like banking 5lbs for just in case. We women think of everything. Thanks for the idea. I sit all day and after reaching a certain age it's just not so easy to keep it off. As you get older the trick I am finding out is if you don't burn it up during the day you have to cut calorie's. My intake is less than 1300 calories per day that's the only way it will come off. Most people find that hard but I don't. Now that I am finally on my way it's really not so bad. My cholestrol has got to come down because I refuse to go on those meds. I really hope this does the trick. I am also walkint 2mi at least 3-4 times a week. I hope I don't get brun out. I got into my skinny jeans for the first time in three years. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy |
I need to lose the weight for my wedding in June. I don't want to lose alot, I more just want to tone up. I've been doing my Pilates again, they do work. I just get busy and never do them. I also walk alot, so I hope it's helping... I eat smaller portions when I am trying to take off the lbs. I come from a family that loves food, so I snack often! I like almonds, popcorn, peanuts, fruit, yogurt.... I guess it's time to really buckle down... I can't give up my 1 Dr. Pepper every other day though. I like the little tiny bottles. I never drink a whole can. |

Congrats on losing the weight. It's tough, I hate it. ooooooooh! Skinny jeans! Thats awesome! |
WOW...I am sure impressed with you all. My weight just seems to stay the same, I'm still 150 pounds...and over 50 years old, so it is really a struggle to even lose a single pound. But I'm encouraged by all of you that have stuck to it...I can do this...it's not rocket science. I gave of the habit of drinking colas along time ago...years. Nothing but water for me, and I'm happy I did...I actually like my water. I will lose weight...I will lose weight...I will lose weight... |
I know it comes off slow for sure...my nutrionist at first put me on 1400 calories and it came off about a 1 a week (I started this in mid-January) then in August I hit a plateau and she put me on 1300 - it's hard but after a while you get used to it. I also switched up my exercise program and that did it - now that you get closer to your goal it does come off sooo slooow. I'm not that young either anymore and without the exercise you can forget it. I also sit at desk most of the day so I have to exercise. Yay everyone - good job - keep it up and if you didn't lose no give up - get right back on track next day. |
143 again!!!!!!!   again, i say....better than going up LOL |
Ok, so my first week of Weight Watchers I lost 6.6 lbs., which was 2 weeks ago. I did not weigh last week because I had to work late (and I thought I had ate really bad, so no need to weigh in! lol). Just this last weekend, I went to Laughlin and all I did was drink. I didn't eat too much, but I did have a pretzel stuffed with cream cheese and then I dipped it in nacho cheese... But hey, I started my period yesterday, so I have an excuse! lol So when I went to weigh in last night, I thought for sure I had gained it all back..... but..... I lost!!! :D It was only 4 ounces, but hey, I didn't gain!! So now I am down an even 7lbs in 3 weeks, so I am happy!! So this week I am back to super strict, so that way next week, I can make it 10lbs total! Watch- I'll do it!! Not to brag or anything...but I still have my metabolism on my side lol, so 3 lbs in a week is nothing! |
Ok looks like I'm the first to check in this am. Well on Sat I was 140.2oz. I actually drank 2glass of wine and had a decent dinner on Sat night. Pasta and chicken parm and this morning I was 141.5oz:( My matabilism sucks! It's so sad when you cheat once and gain weight! I'm not getting upset just making a point. I will be under 140 by this weekend I swear. I want it more than the darn pasta and chicken parm I ate on Sat night. Hope the rest of you did ok. |
I think that it is great that everyone has a support system, I did mine all alone and it was really tough, now that my sister is so impressed she finally started to lose as well. I started losing a year ago, on Oct.25, my goal was only 30 pounds because I was always a very big girl (weighing 196) when I started, I am now 135 and have been holding there for about 3 months. I never weighed this low since I was about 10 years old. It is great being able to shop and actually like seeing what is in the mirror. The funniest thing I go through is that friends ask me do you treat yourself, jokingly I say, I treated myself for 25 years, I think it is about time that I don't, because it only makes me feel guilty. The good thing is, now, I feel guilty before I put it in my mouth, whereas before, I felt guilty after, which is too late. You go girls, and lose those pounds. If I can do it, trust me, anyone can. I still hate the fact that I had to give up alot of my favorites but the end result is worth it, I can honestly say today, that I will never let myself go again, because I matter, and my kids that are 8 and 11 are so proud of me, now I am their role model, it was worth it. |
