I'm glad I found this thread. Count me in!!! I need to lose at least 30lbs. I started walking when the kids went back to school beginning of this month and I'm definitely not snacking as much as I used too. My next step is to start watching what I put in my mouth. I need to get back on WW. I lost 20lbs on WW in the past but put it back on. I'm going to commit to you all to get back on it and hopefully with us encouraging each other, we will all get to our goals. Good luck everyone! |
i didn't have a good dinner, i had little ceasar's pizza :( BUT my ex boyfriend took me to meijer's to get some food for the weekend while he is gone. I am having a hard time doing too much with how I feel, so the frozen dinners was the best route. I got a few by that kashi brand plus I got kashi brand cereal and crackers. I guess that brand is suppose to be all natural so healthy and all that. Never tried it, so hope its yummy. Making sure I take my relacore with my meals. Water is very important to weight loss and I drink more water than anything anyway. I have to drink at least 10 8oz glasses of water a day with the kidney stones, doc would perfer even more than that. My ex suggested I fill a pitcher with water and ice, since I have a hard time moving alot when pain gets bad, plus I get dizzy. I don't think I can do my workouts on the slant board with the stint in. The doc said I can't go to the gym. I love my carmen electra fit to strip dvds but those are off limits too :( Hopefully soon I can get back to working out, I am sick of being stuck on the couch. I noticed someone mentioned weighing in on mondays, I am in. |
1/2 ounce of water for evey pound 160 lbs/80 oz's Hi again, I saw all the tips, so I thought I would put this one out there. Drink your water girls. I got a rubbermaid jug that has the oz's marked on the side. It helps me see my progress. I exercised today on the ball for 30min's. I also lifted weights. Lifting weights helps burn fat and build muscle. When you have more muscle the metabolism speeds up, so your burning more calories. Yeah! Congrats of your weigh in at the doctor! Fabulous!!!! I will stay away from the alful scale for the next couple of days. I had potato soup, and bread for dinner. Thanks girls for helping me keep it real!!! |
Breakfast: 1 toasted Thomas' English muff--- the 8 gr of fiber one---- with a touch of real butter and a schmear of Cascadian Farms, organic reduced sugar jam. A cuppa PJ Tips with stevia 8 oz of fat free, organic milk ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have a brisket in the oven--- the best recipe ever. Fatty bit of meat but I will load up on vegs and go easy tonight. I am stocking my freezer in prep for going into PMS mode next week---I will want to do nothing, so the food will already be done! On the agenda: Jamie Oliver's roasted pork loin w/ apples, pears, carrots, baby potatos JO's beef stew JO's chili Split chix breast and boneless chix breast, grilled I use very good, lean beef cuts and cook low and slow in the oven for all. Brown rice will be made and then just a trip to my fav farm stand to fill up with fresh fruits and veg and I will be set for the week. This will save me from myself as the hairy hormones take over. I won't be able to rationalize going out to eat all week because I can't be bothered. And we all know how the eating out thing can kill you---- not to mention the fried food cravings of those hormones! |
Just a little note. When you eat those Weight Watcher meals and those Kachi meals you need to check the Sodium content on them. You don't realize how much sodium is in those things and two weeks ago that was all I was eatting for lunch and when I went to weigh in at weight watchers i had gained 2lbs. Now I haven't been eatting out or cheating or anything and my leader told me it was because I was retaining too much water. She asked me what I had been eatting and I told her those meals every day for lunch and she told me right away that is why I gained the 2 lbs. So needless to say if your going to eat those limit yourself to like 2 times a week and not every single day. Last week I didn't eat any of them and I lost the 2lbs I gained the week before and then another 2 lbs on top of that. I just thought I would share that with all of you. Have a good weekend everyone!!! |

Hi All! Last night for dinner I had an applebees WW salad. I skipped their dressing and went with plain old olive oil and vinegar. I checked the soduim content, and it was 400 with their dressing, so I'm thinking what I ate was less. For a snack I had a whole weat Kashi Waffle (150 sodium) with no sugar added jam (1 tsp). And I had 3 dark chocolate hershey kisses. This morning I had 3 egg whites and 1/2 a grapefruit. 3 hours later, my morning snack -- I had a waffle whole wheat Kashi brand with 1 tsp jelly and a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese. Lunch will be 2 oz of chicken with a cucumber soaked in vinegar, yum! LOL As far as sodium goes, I think it's supposed to be under 2500 by the AHA, but I believe that they are trying to get it down to 1500, if I'm not wrong. Im REALLY watching the sodium I'm taking in. I have soups that were "healthy" and low points on WW, but the sodium in a can is 1900!! That's nuts! |
Last night was a real test for my forgotten willpower. I use to have the best willpower but it went down the tubes somewhere along the line. Anyhow, it was a friend's birthday and 6 of us went out for dinner. I ordered baked scrod, broccoli/plain, salad w/vinegar&oil, white wine spritzer and a decaf cappacino(bad). No sugar but a drop of sambuca.:D No bread and butter or desert. I think I did good. Don't forget the weigh in on Mon and be careful over the weekend. |

I do only weigh myself one time a week and its on Wednesday nights at 630pm every week. This is when I go to my meetings. |
Kashi products are delicously good. |
Do you have room for another? I need to lose the 10 pounds I gained after high school and college!! More than that, I need motivation to keep working out b/c I go in spurts - I'll work cout consistently for 2 months and stop for 3...not good :( |
I think this thread will be good for me.. I am fifteen and just started sophmore year and had a REALLY REALLY stressful summer after 8th grade then an even more stressful freshman year.. I weighed about 115-120 at the end of 8th grade.. I am now 148.. I gained 28 pounds in a year and a half :( thankfully though because of sports I don't look it and I have alot of muscle but I still wanna go back to atleast 120-125 :) |
Hi everybody...My name is Kathy and I'm a food-aholic. What can I say I love to eat!!! So.....I think I want to join this thread and learn how to control my over eating, and shed some extra baggage. I will set my goal for losing 25 pounds...lets make that 26 pounds...LOL...I weighed in at 151 pounds this morning and I'd like to get down to 125 pounds. Thanks for the thread...and I will really try to control my hunger pangs. Good luck to us all!!! |
Count me in! For the last couple months I've been going to WW but still have some more (about 15) to lose. One hint-eat sitting on the couch, your furbabies will absorb some of the calories! My weight loss has slowed now so I have been trying to increase my activity by going to Curves 3 times a week and walking. So far today I have had: a papaya for breakfast, a Jersey Mikes turkey sub for lunch, pizza for dinner and a WW ice cream sandwich. I'm still within my points. The pizza was easy-just used a low calorie, high fiber wrap toasted as the crust, a little sauce, peppers, onions and fat free mozzarella cheese. yum! So far WW has been easiest for me. I go to the meetings and find it very supportive. |
