| I would say she would have been out in 10 days if she would have just stayed in there and kept out of the spotlight. BUT NO... not her style. There had to be something that turned this whole thing into a big publicity issue. (Imagine what it is costing the taxpayers in CA.) I wonder why the sheriff would send her home with medical (mental or physical) instead bringing doc's in or sending her to a facility that could care for her (prison hospital???) mmmmmmm..........I wonder if his pockets were padded a little... I am glad that she is back in and serving some time. I really don't think that it will be 45 days ..... maybe a couple of weeks with good behavior.

| Hon, it was a long time ago and I don't bring it up often but it's also something that you never get over. It's times like these that I feel by mentioning it, it will open more eyes to what could have happened. She is really a lucky girl to be sitting there for 23-45 days whatever, it could have been years if she would have killed someone. of course I doubt that she will look at it that way.

| I think this whole thing is ridiculous, but I'm glad she's back in jail. She's no different or more special than anyone else. If she commits a crime, she needs to serve the WHOLE time. But, that's just my opinion. I'm still mad that OJ is walking around free. |

| Celebrity or not you do the crime you should do the time. Driving intoxicated is not something to be shrugged off just because you have more money than god. I agree that if she had not been such a diva and kept a low profile maybe she would not have gotten more time. I don't think that she is being punished without a good reason. I don't think the sheriff had the authority to release her, the judge made a decision and that decision is the one that counts not the one the sheriff makes because he feels bad. I am not trying to be confrontational but drunk drivers are drunk drivers whether they have been charged once or 20 times it makes no difference she was wrong to drive but luckily no one was killed.

| It's sad that just because she's a celebrity and has a rich and famous family, that she thinks money can buy her everything, including giving her a free pass to break laws and be rude to judges, lol. I do feel bad for her in a way, but hey you do the crime, you do the time! Simple as that! She should feel lucky that she didn't seriously hurt someone. |

It IS hard to feel bad for these spoiled pampered people who think they're better than the rest of the world. They do anything they want and cry when they have to account for it ?? Look at Oprah - she has more money than we could ever imagine and I seriously doubt people would be cheering the justice system on if SHE did this....they'd be on her side - all because of how she carries herself. | |

| I know a woman who was on probation for a "paper crime" & she broke one of her rules ( she went to a home she wasn't allowed to go to) & when the courts found out there was no discussion, no breaks , nothing...she was ordered to jail immediately to serve the suspended time which was 1 1/2 yrs for probation violation....

And, ya know, I personally don't like to see the rich or famous OR the poor and unknown suffer more than necessary - I never see cruelty as an answer to anything. Nor does it ever satisfy me to "knock" others down - I can't even imagine how that would potentially be satisfying. Neither of those things have anything to do w/ the crime. Yes, she shouldn't pay for the sheriff's mistake. But she should pay for the crime - she violated probation etc. and people do go to jail for similar offenses. I doubt she needs to serve 45 days - she should serve whatever is similar in other cases.

| Donating YT 7000 Club Member | We've been discussing this on another message board I'm on. Here are my thoughts: I'm glad she went to jail. She thinks she's above the law because she was born rich and famous. yeah she's rich. Yeah she's famous. Yeah she gets in trouble when she breaks the law. A few weeks ago she said "I'm too pretty for prison." if I were able to, I would've reached through the computer and knocked her face off. Then when the judge sends her back to jail it's "not fair." Try this one, Paris. You driving drunk - and putting other people's lives in danger - that's what not fair. She's a spoiled little rich girl. People are saying she got too harsh of a sentence. She was D.U.I! she could've killed a little kid, a little old lady crossing the street, or an average Joe walking on the side walk. She could have ended someone's life. and she thinks she doesn't deserve to be punished? and not only was she D.U.I., she was breaking probation. Good riddance.

House arrest wouln't have been plenty. She would've been in her mansion doing whatever her little heart desired. She needed a taste of reality, and now she's finally gotten it.
