She went to jail NOT for DUI, but for driving with a suspended license. Most people who are caught driving with a suspended license don't serve jailtime, and if they DO serve jailtime, it's around 3-5 days....not 45 days!!!!!!!! I don't like Paris Hilton at all, but to me, this sentence is a bit excessive. However, she should be accountable for her actions and I do believe she should serve whatever sentence the judge gives her, whether I believe it's excessive or not.

According to the news last night and this morning, she went to jail for "Probation violation". that does carry jail time.
