Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Can you all Share your BEST Exercise machine ? OK....I'm trying to listen to my alter ego and get off my BUTT and start working out. It's been like 20 years since I was serious about exercise cept for some treadmill walking - which I plan to start doing tommorrow - I also have a Health Rider - which is tiring (boring too) and I believe for cardio - WHY DID I BUY THIS back when they 1st came out ? I've been reading about a machine called the Ab Lounger - it looks pretty good because it won't hurt your back - and it's under $100.00. What do you all have and actually USE as far as equipment ? |

| well as I'm personally OBSESSED with running but I cant do that outside because of sickness's I have I LOVE having one of those stationary bikes that take your heart rate and everything I just sit there alll day watching TV while on the bike sometimes I have a sit up little program my choreographer made up when I was still dancing a while ago that I try to do at least once a day depends on my mood. (I can work out ALL day sometimes) So I don't need any sit up machine! |

| I don't have an ab lounger. But, I was wondering if anyone has heard of the urban rebounder? It looks so easy. I saw a program on TV yesterday about it. But, it is kinda exp. It is a small trampoline and you push down instead of jumping on it. I have the website but I wasn't sure if it is okay to post it or not.

| I have a treadmill that makes for a good conversation piece. I think the best equipment I have is one of those big balls that you do exercises on, and hand weights. I have them in 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 15, 20 and 30 lb. increments. |

| I think a set of dumbbells, maybe an exercise bench and one of those big balls are all great pieces of equipment. For cardio, I LOVE the elliptical machine. Running really hurts my knees and ankles, so the elliptical machine is GREAT bc it puts no pressure on these areas. Glamour.com has this program called "Body by Glamour" which is almost exactly like Shape.com's program, but it is FREE! It shows you how to do great exercises and stuff and gives you good healthy recipes to try out. You should check it out! |

jenbermu...Thanks for the info !! That's what I wanted to hear - they do have several models - I heard the lowest priced one can be a pain to assemble....but Target carries the nicer model - It's blue ? But this is what I needed to hear - I'm hoping to find something that would be used in conjunction with the Treadmill....and not end up as my new Clothes Hanger | |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I have an excercise bike in my room. I don't think it's any special brand though. lol. Honestly, I'd rather just get down on the floor and do crunches and push ups than use that thing.....it's too boring for me. Good luck!

| WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ' I think I have personally owned EVERY FREAKIN EXERCISE MACHINE there is. I have treadmills and recumbant bike and health rider and all these other things to NUMEROUS to mention. Like 20 pieces of EXPENSIVE equipment. i DIDN"T think the ab lounger worked AT ALL. I will say that WHEN I USED IT my favorite piece was the Body by Jake Bun and thigh Rocker. Now I know it sounds cheesy but ABSOLUTELU trimmed mu tummy, thighs and tightened and trimmed my butt... and it was EASY and fun. I kept it right in the livingroom and used to sit on it and watch TV and it didn't feel like work AT ALL. My backside got so trimme and toned my pants kept falling down and it looked like i had a 20 year old body(I'm more then double that) from using that thing. It kinda works on somewhat the same pricinpal as the ab lounger but MORE. and smaller and doesn't take up as much room. It uses a band systen with is VERY easy to use ... right while you are still sitting there. UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Now if only I could make myself use all this freakin equipment again

| well i used an elliptical which is way better on your knees than treadmills are.. and for the computer savvy well u can dl programs on it so that u do different workout progams.. i loved that thing.. all i did was 15 minutes a day and it toned my thighs butt and my arms.. and i think even my tummy.. i lost about 15 pounds in 3 weeks and when i lost that weight i became lazy again and stopped using it.. so now its just collecting dust.. i should use it again, but im just too lazy, or would rather take a walk to the park.. but i think its a very good piece of equipment..
